Bhamini Oza on being referred to as Pratik Gandhi's wife & having her own identity

It is no secret how Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story made a superstar out of actor Pratik Gandhi as he continues to star in multiple projects now. And the actor's wife, Bhamini Oza Gandhi, who is also an actor is recently seen in the Sab TV show, Ziddi Dil Maane Na.

The actor has starred in an array of TV shows, Gujarati plays and shows over the years and in an interview with ETimes TV, the actor talked about multiple things which included about making a comeback to TV and being referred to as Pratik Gandhi's wife.

She first said, "This extended break from television happened because actors have to work really long hours when they do a TV show. After my daughter Miraya was born, I couldn’t devote that kind of time to TV. Now Miraya is seven years old and a bit more independent. I can take more time out for myself and do TV. Also for the first time in my career, I am playing a role that has negative shades and I found that pretty exciting. It is good to be back on the small screen. The energy level is different on the sets of a TV show, it’s a lot of fun."

Talking about being referred to as Gandhi's wife, she said, "I am aware that now people refer to me as Pratik Gandhi's wife after Scam: The Harshad Mehta Story’s success and I have no problems with that at all. I am proud of his success. Pratik’s worked very hard to be where he is today. He’s working with some of the best filmmakers and actors, doing some good projects and he deserves all that. I don’t think I am living in his shadow, while he’s doing extremely well for himself and it’s natural for people to recognise him now, I also have my own identity. I am doing the kind of work that I want to and that’s fine with me. Pratik always dreamt of making a mark as an actor who is known pan-India and that’s finally happened. I am very happy for him. We are both happy in our own professional spaces at this point of time and that’s what really matters."
