Sony TV's Beyhadh telecast its last episode yesterday, and oh boy, was it one heart wrenching moment to see Maya die! Of all the protagonists we've ever had on Indian TV, Maya was one of a kind and surprisingly, loved immensely despite all the evilness and dark shades she portrayed.
With the show now having come to an end, we thought we'd analyse if or not did Beyhadh manage to reach a justified end.
With Maya dead, Saanjh (Aneri Vajani) and Arjun (Kushal Tandon) are in tears, despite Arjun being the one who shot her, while Maya makes him recollect all of her junoon and even their wedding vows.
There were a few takeaways that we had from the last episode, and if not for anything, we think that it was these things that made the show a hit with the masses.
It was a quick flashback of the Maya-Arjun-Saanjh roller coaster ride!
Right from Arjun and Maya's memories of their house, to Maya's Junoon leading her to death, there was this emotional connect that everyone did feel with Maya, as she breathed her last. While it did pain Arjun to see her die the way she did, Maya was rather happy about how it was necessary for her to die, in order to prove her love to Arjun. The marriage vows that Arjun took, all the love that he showered, all of it played like a film in flashback for the viewers and, it was definitely a roller coaster ride for us as well.
Maya's words of wisdom and worldly speech to her Rajkumari!
Maya's childhood was scary. And when she ran away with her daughter, she talked to her about all that followed, and how the world changes your time. The kid here obviously does not understand any of the things that she says, but that scene does send out a strong message about how life is never all about fairy tales and that you have to be the devil if you wish to defeat others.
Her dialogue that was quite hard hitting, beautifully summed up our fight against the world when she said, "Apne andar ke toofan ko seene me dabaye rakhna. Jab yeh duniya majoboor karegi na, toh apne toofan se sabko barbaad kardena. Kyunki aap Maya ki beti hai aur Maya kabhi haar nahi manti."
Maya's Beyhadh pyaar did win!
Maya asks Arjun to relieve her off now, because it is time and because "Pyaar ki koi hadh nahi hoti. Jab pehle mile toh kashish, kashish jo bandhan ban jata hai, bandhan jo ishq ka rang leta hai, ishq jo bharose pe tika ha, bharosa jo ibadat pe tika hai, ibadat jo junoon ban jata hai, aur junoon jo maut tak pahucha deta hai. Ab junoon dikhane ke liye maut to jaruri thi na, mera marna jaruri tha."
With her last words where she says, "Mujhe rihaa kardo Arjun," she breathes her last in his arms, peacefully and content.
For us, the show did conclude on the same note that it started on. The last episode hit us as hard as the first one did. And Maya yet again stole the show in the last episode as she did in the first.

Maya actions were villainous from day one. She deserves this ending. The only thing I would like to say for Maya 'before you start pointing fingers, make sure your hands are clean'

There was a scene in d initial epi's of beyhadh, where dusky n duffer r doing vellapanti n duffer talks abt how heleft his ex gf in forest n broke up with her, just coz she uttered sumthn against dusky... dt sums up d show for me. Dy were meant to b each other n not even thr fam can come btwn dm... dy r willing tto sacrifice anybody n everybody for their sacred dusky duffer frndshp... only a deranged person like Maya dared to go btwn dm n screwed up her life which was already bad. Such a sad story... i hope nobody has such a life.

Beyhadh is all about Maya's beyhadh love for Arjun. The love that enslaved her and she had no control over it. But she believed in ''pyar usisey karo jise control kar sako agar pyar aapko control karne lagey toh usay barbad kar do '' . She did just that . She was controlled by her love . So she destroyed her love by turning him into a guilt driven murderer. Saanjh had stopped Arjun from killing Maya earlier by saying he cannot escape law and she has to live her life without him. But Maya cleverly tricked him into believing she would kill Saanjh & he fell right into the trap & killed her. Maya ensured that he is made to live in guilt for killing a defenseless Maya the mother of his child and the woman who died due to his words and actions. Maya succeeded in destroying Arjun who controlled her actions. She became free. Maya's last words to Arjun how will he live now after he killed Maya ? Maya always said Arjun is hers and if not then she will not let him be anyone else's . Pandit had predicted Arjun will have a lonely life & now Arjun will be in prison serving his term living in guilt of killing Maya. Before dying Maya played her last game and secured her win.She destroyed Arjun. So its a fair conclusion according to me. Better than dying Arjun has to now live a guilt full life with blood in his hands. This punishment is better than death. Jennifer Winger you were phenomenal as Maya. Its only because of YOU Maya has turned out to be such an iconic character. Another feather added to your excellent career . looking forward for your next show Adhura Alvida. Know you will rock in it too. Love you. Only you could make a character with shades of grey look white. Love you.

The line is "Barosa jo Ibadat se bhi bad kar tha!" not "Ibadat se tika huwa tha". These lines of Maya I will never forget. They epitomise Beyhadh for me, just like Maya did. She lived on her own terms and died on her own terms. She wanted to die by Arjun's hand. She told him many times "Kill Me" and I think she meant it. Even though she had a lot of darkness in her, she was also a tortured soul. The irony is that she united Arjun and Saanjh forever by giving birth to their child. The child belongs to Arjun, Saanjh and Maya. Without Maya this child would not be. She called her "Maya ki Beti" even though she is not her biological Mother. But she is her birth Mother. She got her dream of holding her child, Arjun's child. I wonder if her empty gun and threats were actually to get Arjun to shoot her. The ending was poignant, with Arjun & Saanjh next to Maya crying and Maya flying free "Maya Beyhadh Hai" she says. It was an emotional farewell. I had tears in my eyes! This story was about all three of them. They were connected from that first meeting. I liked how they showed some scenes of them together and some of Maya with Arjun, and Maya alone. Not perfect, but truly a Unique show that touched me. Jennifer, you rocked girl. You were amazing! Kushal you were so handsome in Maya's memories of her "Raaj Kumar" and in many scene you excelled. Aneri the same goes for you. I loved the more mature Saanjh after marriage. A quite strength in a woman who had gone through a lot. She was not a girl anymore. But Beyhadh will always belong to Jennifer! To Maya! The Gone Girl of Indian TV! Farewell Beyhadh!

They started this show with the story of a mentally traumatised girl. This girl fell in love and never got the love she craved from the man she married, the man who promised her a life filled with love, hope and happiness. They ended this serial by turning this unfortunate girl's life upside down. Criminal, betrayed by her love, losing her child and her mother trying to kill her. Once they did this, there was no other end possible but Maya's death. But they should not have done that. They should have given Maya a chance at life, free from mental illness and with her love for which she gave up everything. You gave her a horrible life and a heartbreaking and unjust end. And the people who had played a part in ruining her life lived happily ever after (well maybe not Arjun ;) ) including her mother who was a stain on thy name of mother. So, so disappointed.

The ending was predictable and used concept. The problem with the whole show was that they tried to make Maya as crazy as they possible could with the intention of making the audience hate her but it back fired big time because they tried to justify everyone else mistake towards Maya as something good which ended up with well people hating other characters. Another really good concept with a potential of being a ground breaking show on Indian tv but as usual the CV's ruined it :'( a real shame!

I knew it that Beyhadh would end with Maya dying. I don't want to watch it. Because I never liked watching a scene of a woman dying in a show or a movie. It's heart wrenching! You are out of my sight, But you will never be out of my heart. I may not see your face, But I will always remember your smile. I will never hear your voice again But you will forever whisper in my ear. I never got to say goodbye to you Or tell you how much you really meant to me. But one day, we will meet at Heaven's Gates And I will be with you again. And this time it will be forever... Goodbye, Maya...

Maya always steals d show coz Jennifer Winget portrayed her beautifully. None of d fan groups r happy with d end. Neither dy showed Maya feeling guilty for what she did, nor did dy show any realisation on part of Jhaanvi, Arjun n Saanjh, as to how dy made Maya a monster. Moreover, thr were so many loopholes n unfinished stories. Why out of so many ppl Maya had to love d douche bag Arjun? Why is Jhaanvi d way she is? I don't understand her attitude towards Maya. Whom did Arjun actually love or did he actually love anybody? Why did he marry Maya if Saanjh was his pagalpan n without whom he can't live? What happened on Maya's 9th biryhday? what is d suspense of her differing birth dates? why didn't Maya admit killing pandit n Vikram? Lastly, why was dis called a thriller wn thr was no thrill at all n where is d selfless love? all i cud see was obsessed love, stupid ppl n baseless tracks.

Utterly disappointing show. There are so many mysteries which has been uncovered. There are so many loose ends and impossible twists against Maya. I am saying this not cos I love her but because others misdeeds have been sidelined. If a child is mentally ill, they are admitted to special school and provided medical help till they recover accompanied with moral support. The show promised about uniqueness but it has turned out to be good vs evil which we are seeing it the umpteenth time. Maya has to pay for her crimes but the end has not been justified. She never got a single chance to prove her goodness. Someone or the other has to trigger her. Yes, she has committed unforced crimes but most of the crimes she committed was the forced ones.
