#BestOf2018: Shows That Launched This Year!

Finally, December is here and we are back with our early roundup. It is that time of the year when we are all set to welcome another year. But before that will you mind if we remind you about the shows that made this year a lot more dramatic, romantic, mystic and even a little thrilling. This year a lot of shows went on air and left us stunned. From mythology, supernatural to love-stories and thrillers, this year has been made quite eventful by the makers.
We present you a list of TV shows that went on air in 2018 :
1. Bepannaah: This show dealt with infidelity as its primary theme and starred Jennifer Winget and Harshad Chopra in the lead roles. The show bagged immense praises for the out of the box concept and sparkling chemistry of Harshad and Jennifer. Talks were on that the show might get shifted to digital platform but that didn't happen and it recently went off- air.
2. Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka: This show also featured infidelity. The show started with Abhinav Shukla, Shakti Arora, Aditi Dev Sharma and Drashti Dhami. Recently, it got shifted to digital space and Drashti Dhami bid farewell to the show.
3. Tujhse Hai Raabta: It is one of the popular shows of television. It went on air since September 3 this year and shows the story of a guardian and a daughter, where the latter hates the former. The guardian tries her best to win her over, but in vain. It stars Reem Sheikh, Poorva Gokhale, Sehban Azim and Shagun Pandey in lead roles.
4. Daayan: The show launched recently on December 15 and is bagging appreciation since it went on air. The series revolves around two people who are madly in love with each other and how their lives change when a Daayan enters their lives and creates havoc. It stars Tina Datta, Mohit Malhotra and Anupriya Kapoor in lead roles.
5. Dastaan-E-Mohabbat Salim Anarkali: The show marks the comeback of Shaheer Sheikh after Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi. It also stars Sonarika Bhadoria. The show is based on the love story of Salim, the son of Mughal king Akbar, who falls in love with Anarkali, who was a dancer.
6. Dil Hi Toh Hai: This romantic drama created by Ekta Kapoor stars Karan Kundra and Yogita Bihani in lead roles. The first season ended a few months back but the season 2 is all set to return on ALT Balaji.
7. Nazar: This supernatural show is about an evil Daayan and the troubles faced by the family under her 'nazar'. The show stars Antara Biswas, Niyati Fatnani and Harsh Rajput in lead roles.
8. Mariam Khan - Reporting Live: The show premiered on May 21, this year. It was a story of a very imaginative and curious child. The show took a leap in between and now stars Mahima Makwana and Param Singh in lead roles. The show is going to go off air in January, next year.
9. Aladdin - Naam Toh Suna Hoga: It premiered on 21 August 2018 and stars Siddharth Nigam, Aamir Dalvi, Raashul Tandon and Avneet Kaur in lead roles. Based on the famous folklore of Aladdin, the show is a treat to watch.
10. Ishq Subhan Allah: This show is one of its kind and is based on the concept of triple talaq. Starring Eisha Singh and Adnan Khan, the show is immensely popular among the audience.
11. Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala: It premiered on March 19 this year. It is a remake of Bengali popular show, Potol Kumar Gaanwala. It stars Aakriti Sharma, Mohit Malik, Anjali Anand, Myra Singh and Vishal Aditya Singh in lead roles.
12. Karn Sangini: Based on Kavita Kane's novel Karna's Wife: The Outcast's Queen, this show premiered on October 22. The show stars Tejasswi Prakash and Aashim Gulati on lead roles.
13. Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2: Ekta Kapoor rebooted the iconic epic saga of Anurag and Prerna and presented this show. Erica Fernandes, Parth Samthaan and Hina Khan play the leads in this romantic drama.
14. Laal Ishq: It is a romantic horror television series that presents episodic stories related to supernaturalism and horror.
15. Qayamat Ki Raat: The show stars Vivek Dahiya, Karishma Tanna and Saurish Singh Athwal in leading roles. This Indian supernatural series premiered on June and is winning hearts since then.
16. Kaal Bhairav Rahasya 2: This story is based on the supernatural thriller by the veteran Tamil writer Indra Soundarrajan, The Palace of Kottaipuram. Starring Gautam Rode and Additi Gupta, the show premiered recently and is bagging appreciation.
17. Roop - Mard Ka Naya Swaroop: It is a one of its kind show that revolves around a boy who stands against his father to prove his ideology and support his mother and sisters. It recently took a leap and now stars Shashank Vyas and Donal Bisht in lead roles.
18. Tantra: It is another supernatural show exploring the concepts of black magic, incantation, mysticism, and supernatural elements in an intriguing way. Manish Goel, Juhi Parmar, Sargun Kaur and Gautam Vig play the leads in this show. It recently went on air.
19. Prithvi Vallabh - Itihaas Bhi, Rahasya Bhi: Based on Prithivivallabh, a Gujarati historical fiction by Kanaiyalal Maneklal Munshi, the show premiered on 20 January and went off- air on 17 June. The show featured Ashish Sharma and Sonarika Bhadoria in lead roles.
20. Naagin 3: It is the third installment of the famous Naagin franchise by Ekta Kapoor. The show has been topping the TRP charts ever since it went on air. It stars Anita Hassanandani, Surbhi Jyoti, Pearl V Puri and Rajat Tokas in lead roles.
21. Manmohini: The story is about a 500-year-old Chudail named Mohini (Reyhna Malhotra), who has waited for her previous 500-year-old love, Ranaa Saa (Amkit Siwach) and how his present wife (Garima Singh Rathore) saves him from Mohini's evil intentions.
22. Krishna Chali London: The show premiered on May 21. The show revolves around the leads Krishna Dubey (Megha Chakraborty), an aspiring doctor and Radhe Lal Shukla (Gaurav Sareen), an "aspiring lover".
23. Radha Krishn: Based on the mythological love story of Radha Krishna, this Star Bharat's show went on air this October and is already a hit among the audience. It stars Sumedh Mudgalkar, Mallika Singh in lead roles.
Apart from these 21 Sarfarosh - Saragarhi 1897, Belan Wali Bahu, Aap Ke Aa Jane Se, Har Shaakh Pe Ullu Baithaa Hai, Yeh Teri Galiyan, Yeh Pyaar Nahi Toh Kya Hai, Shrimaan Shrimati Phir Se, Kaleerein, Jijaji Chhat Per Hain and many other shows went on air.
