#BestOf2018: MAJOR Controversies That SHOCKED us!

They say, a controversy equalizes the fools and the wise men in the same way, and the fools know it. One more year has passed by, and we all have managed to survive a lot of controversies, fights and drama *self pat on the back*. Controversy and actors go hand in hand; the greater the controversy, more the publicity and news.

So, here we remind you the major controversies of 2018:

#MeToo Movement: 

The #MeToo movement took the whole industry by storm. Tanushree Dutta started the movement by accusing veteran actor Nana Patekar of sexual harassment, and rest is history. Lot of famous names from the industry like Alok Nath, A.I.B, Anu Malik, Sajid Khan, Kailash Kher to name a few, were called out on social media, and each of these names and the shocking details of their cases appalled us. Alok Nath's case was the most controversial, as he received several notices from CINTAA and Supreme Court, and has now been banned. This movement turned out to be a game changer for the industry people.

Siddhant Sagar Missing Case: 

Comedian Siddhant Sagar, who is now engaged to model-actress Subuhi, was reported missing earlier this year. After a few days of the report, he took to Instagram to clear out the mystery behind his absconding. He spoke about mental harassment done by his family members, and how he was admitted to a mental asylum.

Papon's kiss' Controversy: 

Singer Papon landed in a controversy early this year, over a viral video where he could be seen kissing a minor girl contestant on the sets of reality show Voice India Kids. A lot was said and written about him and also a case was filed against him, though some of his industry friends like Monali Thakur and Shaan came out in support of him. Later, the girl clarified that nothing wrong happened, and it was just a faulty camera angle.

Piyush Sahdev's Domestic Violence Controversy: 

Actor Piyush Sahdev had earlier been accused with rape charges, and later his wife Ankansha filed a complaint in Malad (Mumbai) police station alleging him of torture, harassment and domestic violence. 

Zee TV Show Aisi Deewangi Dekhi Nahi Kahi Controversy: 

Zee TV's show Aisi Deewangi Dekhi Nahi Kahi witnessed a huge controversy, just a few days after it's release. The lead actors Pranav Misshra and Jyoti Sharma accused show's producers of exploitation and mistreatment and eventually left the show.  

Vikas Gupta-Parth Samthaan Patch up: 

Vikas Gupta and Parth Samthaan had an ugly fallout. Parth even filed a case against Vikas, where he also accused Vikas of molesting him and this created a huge controversy. Earlier this year, the two patched up during Palak Muchhal's birthday bash where they shared the stage together. Now, they are on good terms with each other.

Ssara Khan Nude Pics & A Controversial Fight with Her Sister Ayra: 

Seems like Ssara is controversy's favorite child. A few months back, nude pictures of her in bathtub were doing rounds on the internet. Apparently, a video was taken by her sister Ayra which she accidentally posted on her social media. Not just that, even the sisters had an ugly spat, which was all over social media. For some reason the two fought real bad and Ayra left the house, and Ssara cried a lot in a video message that grabbed a lot of eyeballs.

Sonal Vengurlekar-Sheena Bajaj Controversy:  

Amidst the storm of MeToo movement, Sonal Vengurlekar accused actress Sheena Bajaj's father and photographer Raja Bajaj of sexual misconduct, though Raja denied all the accusations. The fight became ugly and Sheena in an interview said that Sonal is blackmailing her father for money and publicity.

Family Time With Kapil Sharma Suspension: 

Kapil Sharma has landed himself in a huge controversy since last year, and it's been a tough time for the comedian. When he got a chance to redeem himself with Family time With kapil Sharma, he managed to screw up that too. He abused an entertainment portal's editor and also his show was suspended due to his reckless behavior.

Devoleena Bhattacharjee Questioned in a Murder Case:  

Fondly known as Gopi bahu, Devoleena Bhattacharjee was questioned in the abduction and murder case of Mumbai Diamond trader Rajeshwar Udani. She was summoned by the police for interrogation and was questions for hours. The news had everyone in shock.

 

Varun Sood Accuses EX-girlfriend Beenafsha Soonawala: 

Varun Sood accused his ex-girlfriend, Beenafsha Soonawala for cheating on him with Priyank Sharma. The later got close in Bigg Boss 11 and by close, we mean really close. Priyank Sharma also wrote an open letter to his ex-girlfriend Divya Agarwal, where he talked about his break up.

• Hina Khan slapped with a legal notice for not returning the jewellery worth Rs 11 lakhs.
