Badshah's latest single 'Morni' is a treat for Sridevi fans with its catchy folk version of this iconic song

Badshah is back with his latest single titled 'Morni' where he reunites with pop singer Sharvi Yadav and Producer Hiten. The mystery lady starring in the music video was unveiled at the song launch today and it's none other than Preity Mukhundhan.

'Morni' is interlaced with the tunes of the popular track ' Morni Baga Ma Bole' from 'Lamhe' whose vocals were given by the late Lata Mangeshkar and starring the iconic superstar - the late Sridevi. Furthermore Badshah also shared why he picked this song, 

Lamhe is one of my most favourite films ever. Also, my ancestors do come from Rajasthan, hence the love for folk songs. This song is in everyone's hearts because of how special the film is. The people of Rajasthan are also very warm which is why they're in the video, it was a lovely experience.

The modern-day version is filled with desi swag and a catchy folk musical touch that's bound to be trending in no time! Pop singer Sharvari is thrilled to be reuniting with Badshah on such a special project, she exclaims, " I hope it becomes the go-to party anthem for everyone with its upbeat tempo. I had so much fun reworking on such memorable songs like 'Morni Baga Ma Bole' which is already so iconic because of legends like the late Lata Mangeshkar and Sridevi."

 Preity Mukhundhan expressed her delight by saying, "I was quite intimidated when I heard how the standards were really high in the Hindi film industry. But the warmth shared by Badshah on set was really welcoming. The whole experience was very encouraging. It's a huge deal for me to work with such iconic artists that too in such a powerful song."

The song had its theatrical launch, the first of its kind ever and it was all about fun and frolic. 

The music for "Morni" is produced by Hiten, with its video featuring Badshah and Preity Mukhundhan, known for her role in "Aasa Kooda."
