Sony TV’s much-loved show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain – Naya Season is all set to wrap up earlier than planned. The show, which went on air on June 16, 2025, with high expectations, was initially designed to run for around 150 episodes. However, according to a close source from the sets, the series will air its final episode on September 19, falling short of its original target.
The new season starred Harshad Chopda and Shivangi Joshi in the lead roles, a casting choice that created a lot of buzz among fans due to the popularity and strong screen presence of both actors. Despite the excitement and the refreshing storyline, the show struggled to deliver the expected ratings. Even though the chemistry between the leads was appreciated, the numbers never reached the desired mark.
To revive the situation, the makers tried several changes, including altering the storyline and introducing a six-month leap to bring in new twists. The time slot of the show was also changed in hopes of attracting a wider audience. However, these efforts did not lead to the success they were aiming for. With ratings not improving, the decision was finally made to pull the plug earlier than expected.
Bade Achhe Lagte Hain: Naya Season told the story of Rishabh (played by Harshad Chopda), a man torn between the pain of revenge and the healing power of love. Bhagyashree (played by Shivangi Joshi) entered his life as a symbol of trust and selflessness, often going beyond limits to support his family. In the current track, Bhagyashree took a gold loan to arrange funds for Rishabh’s father’s medical treatment. This noble act left Rishabh deeply moved, showing him her sincerity and dedication.
But while Bhagyashree’s actions softened Rishabh’s heart, his inner turmoil continues. His past remains a constant shadow, especially since Bhagyashree is connected to someone who had once hurt his father—the first love of his life. This connection keeps Rishabh conflicted, questioning whether he can allow himself to truly accept Bhagyashree into his heart, or if her presence will always remind him of his deepest pain.
Though the storyline had emotional depth and the lead pair brought strong performances, the show could not sustain viewer interest for long. As the final episode approaches on September 19, fans of Harshad Chopda and Shivangi Joshi may feel disappointed, but the season will remain a reminder of their powerful performances and heartfelt storytelling.
