‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ Box Office Collection Day 1: Ajay Devgn, Tabu Film Opens with Rs 2 Crore

Ajay Devgn and Tabu’s new film, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, has finally hit theaters. The romantic drama has received positive feedback from audiences, who have been giving it a thumbs up. On its first day, the film managed to earn Rs 2 crore, according to Sacnilk.

Sacnilk reported that the film had an overall 9.16% Hindi occupancy on Friday, August 02, 2024. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh also reviewed the film, giving it a harsh critique. He described it as "OUTDATED" with a rating of ½ star. Adarsh expressed disappointment, stating that he expected much more from Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and director Neeraj Pandey. He described the film as dull and tedious, with a simplistic plot that is slow-paced and talk-heavy. According to Adarsh, the finale twist falls flat.

The film tells the emotional story of Krishna (played by Ajay Devgn) and Basu (played by Tabu), whose relationship is tested by unexpected events. The brief preview hints at a unique love story with many twists and turns. In the three-minute trailer, Shantanu Maheshwari plays a young Ajay Devgn, who falls deeply in love with Tabu’s character. Their passionate romance is disrupted by a murder, which forces them apart. Years later, Devgn and Tabu are brought back together by fate, reigniting their connection despite their troubled past.

Spanning over 24 years from 2000 to 2024, the musical romantic drama also stars Jimmy Shergill, Saiee Manjrekar, Shantanu Maheshwari, and Sayaji Shinde. The film’s original soundtrack is composed by Oscar-winning musician MM Kreem, with lyrics by Manoj Muntashir.

On the professional front, Ajay Devgn will soon be seen in Singham 3, also known as Singham Again. This upcoming film is highly anticipated and features Ajay Devgn returning as Singham. It also brings back Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar to Rohit Shetty’s cop universe. Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone will join the cast, with Tiger Shroff making his debut in this universe.
