Arjun Kapoor says Dibakar Banerjee gave him ‘torturous, tiring, mentally consuming days’ in hard hitting post

Actor Arjun Kapoor has taken to his Instagram handle to shed light on his character ‘Pinky’ from the recently released film Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar co starring Parineeti Chopra.
The Dibakar Banerjee film has been receiving rave reviews and critics have lauded the strong performances by the lead cast. Arjun shared a bunch of pictures on his Instagram handle giving an insight about his act as Pinkesh Dahiya or Pinky in the film.
Sharing some pictures with the director-writer Dibakar Banerjee and co star Parineeti, Arjun wrote:
"Pinky gave me a chance to challenge myself. Pinky gave me a chance to question my understanding of the beliefs prevalent in our country. Pinky gave me a chance to work with a mind that is unlike anyone else’s (sic)."
Further, Arjun also thanked the filmmaker for helping him build the character of his career. He added:
"Thank you #DibakarBanerjee for all those torturous, tiring, exhausting, mentally consuming days, without which there would be no Pinky and no redemption for an actor like me seeking to find new pastures so that I could take my craft to unchartered territories. Thank you for not trusting me too much and building this man from scratch. You have built Pinky with me, from within me, from all the hidden parts of me. That is what has made it all so much pure and so, so, so gratifying. Thank you (sic)."
