Anupamaa: Anupama decides to uphold the promise

Anupama is in disbelief:

In tonight's Anupamaa episode, Anupama shows an empty kheer bowl to Anuj, explaining that she had prepared a bowl of kheer for Samar, who then came in and finished it. Barkha expresses her disapproval, calling it a cheap joke, and Kinjal agrees. Leela mentions the prank as a response to not inviting them to their party. Anupama calls out for Samar. Anuj shocks everyone by saying that Samar won't come out because he's been shot and is no longer alive. The women are devastated, and Anupama refuses to believe it, accusing the men of making a cruel joke. 

Dimple stumbles and Anupama consoles her, insisting that Samar is fine. Leela breaks down in tears, and Anupama scolds the male family members for their alleged prank, questioning if they are drunk. She reminds Kavya of a past incident involving alcohol with Vanraj and Anuj in Mumbai. Vanraj breaks down as he shouts that their son is gone, leaving Anupama in shock. Anupama imagines seeing Samar waving at her near the door. She rushes toward him but falls. Anuj rushes to help, and Anupama subconsciously calls Toshu "Samar." She embraces him, believing him to be Samar, and Toshu breaks down. Anupama later realizes her mistake and asks Toshu to call her "Samar" before recalling Anuj and Vanraj's earlier words and breaking down again.

Anuj empathizes with Vanraj:

At the hospital, Anuj empathizes with Vanraj, understanding the pain of losing a young son. He wonders about Anupama's condition at home. An inspector informs Anuj that they can take the body after a postmortem examination. Vanraj objects to referring to his son as a "dead body," and the inspector apologizes, emphasizing the necessity of setting emotions aside for their duty. A doctor hands Vanraj an organ donation form to consider. Anupama continues to cry loudly, and Kinjal asks her to comfort Dimpy, who is pregnant. 

Anupama decides to stick to the promise:

Vanraj is unsure about signing the organ donation form, and Anuj encourages him to do so, explaining that they can bring light into someone else's life through organ donation. Anupama remembers Samar's request and decides to support Dimpy and her baby. She inquires if Samar has returned home, and Kinjal informs her that Vanraj, Toshu, and Anuj have gone to the hospital to bring him back.

Precap:

In the precap of Anupamaa, Anuj pleads with Anupama to believe that he had no knowledge of the accident and would have sacrificed his life to save Samar if he had known. Anupama locks herself in a room, and Anuj begs her to speak to him.
