Greeting everyone in her trademark line "Gooodmorniiiing Mumbai" on host Abhaas' request, Vidya Balan joked, "My mother has warned me to not sing as the kids on the show are extremely talented."
The show kickstarts when Shaan and all the participants sing to the tune of the peppy title track in the film 'Welcome'. This performance will be followed by another amazing act where the 'pahari dragon' - Prakriti Giri sings 'Mera Dil'. One of the most talented& popular contestant Jayant Singh sings 'Tanha Dil' from Shaan's famous album. His performance gets him many accolades from the judges and Vidya Balan. Pritam appreciates Jayant's ability to concentrate on each details of the song. The chirpiest contestant from Delhi, Mansi also gives a superb performance on the song 'Kasto Mazaa' – this rendition makes Vidya Balan recollect her debut movie 'Parineeta'. Another talented participant Vyom Kapoor sings one of Shaan's popular numbers 'Chand Shifarish'. The tiniest of them all, Abeer sings 'Janab E Ali' and proves that he not only just cute, but can also give a striking performance.
One of the most talented contestant Aishwariya sings to the tune of 'Piyu Bole'. Vidya comes on stage and does a lip sync, making Aishwariya smile and hide behind Abhaas to sing. All the judges appreciate Aishwariya 's remarkable talent and say that she sings like a professional and could give playback to any heroine. Soniya lends her voice to the song 'Chanda Re' while the UP boy Areeb gets everyone on their feet with the foot tapping number 'Thade Vaste'. Last but not the least the 'junior Shreya Ghoshal' Anwesha brilliantly performs to the song 'Mere Dholna' and leave everyone awestruck by her talent.
Vidya had plenty of gifts to take home - Prakriti gave her a Buddhist lucky charm; Areeb wooed herwith a white rose. Aishwarya presented Vidya and Shaan with Ghor Papdi, a homemade Gujarati sweet made by her Dadi. In return, Vidya surprised Soniya with an audio visual of Soniya's mother who is recovering from a heart problem. To catch more of these 'chhote ustaads' performing with the beautiful Vidya Balan & the charismatic Shaan, don't miss Amul STAR Voice of India – CHHOTE USTAAD, Sat, Jan 5th, 10 p.m. on STAR PLUS!!
