Anjali Anand is an enthralling personality, who just made a mark with her role in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. She had much on her plate to share as she is also one of the contestants on Khatron Ke Khiladi 13. Anjali, who has faced body shaming and constantly questioned about her ability, is all decked up to prove them wrong. From playing Lovely, Dipika, Sanjh, and Gayatri, to name a few, she considered presenting Anjali by doing KK13.
In a candid conversation with India Forums, Anjali shared insights and answered a few questions about the show, stunts, and much more.
What was your first reaction to KK13 getting offered?
I love watching reality shows. Big Boss is one such reality show I'm getting offered for a while now. I am a spectator, but I will never play this role. When Khatron was offered, I decided to take up this challenge. I wanted to get into the game and feel the vibe, no matter how I'll perform. I have always been on television playing a particular character and the show would be a cherry on the cake to present myself as Anjali.
What happened to you in the crane task?
I have always been told to take a back seat whenever I'm up for adventure. People do judge me for my weight and ask me to back off. So, this has always been on my mind. Talking about the task, I was mentally weak then and had a panic attack. Also, felt I was too big for that small ledge. I decided to make a smart move rather than falling off the ledge and giving up.
Was choosing Anjum in the water stunt a good decision?
Everyone thought I chose Anjum just because she was my friend. Like everybody else, even I was there to win. I would rather lose while competing against my friend, so choosing Anjum over other contestants would help.
Have you witnessed the 'current stunt' in your journey? How was the experience?
Yes, I have. I was so frightened by that stunt can't express more. Mohit succeeded in scaring me. I think the 'current stunt' is torture, and the rest stunts were fear. It was extremely tough, and no one would willingly want to get in touch with the current. The first time I got in contact with the current, I had only one thought: to give up. My heart was constantly beeping to give up, but my body kept going.
Mohit is your co-actor and a great friend who has done Khatron before, so did he share any tips?
No, there were no such special tips from his side. We have different traits, but when we come together, we bloom. He only said that you will be fine if you have good people around you and a good season. The only thing he exaggerated was to have fun and enjoy the journey.
Any major injury while performing stunts?
Not as such major injury, but I'm still embracing the marks I got on my legs while performing. There were marks of the tiny crawlers on my scalp and my body, but it eventually faded. My right-hand wrist has taken a toll, and I have pain in my upper back for the very first time.
Archana left no stone unturned to keep up with her entertainment skills in the Big Boss, so how was KK13 with Archana?
Archana is a package of entertainment. If you get offended by Archana's reply, it is your problem. You will understand she is a jolly person if she is your friend. Even my mom talks with her on calls.
