The actor who is the antagonist of Pavitra Bhagya, recalls his experience of shooting some vulnerable scenes with Aneri Vajani, his bond with her, and his take on negative characters
“When I was first briefed about my character of Vardhan Khurana, I got goosebumps. The character is so powerful, intelligent and a plot setter that it will be difficult to go unnoticed,” says the young dashing actor Bhavya Sachdeva who is looking forward to his new character which comes with a lot of experiment and research. He is confident that playing Vardhan Khurana will take his acting a notch higher.
He says, ''The character has a lot to offer in terms of variety and that is one thing which keeps me on my toes. There is a constant need to perform and improvise on my characters depending on the scene. This makes it fun-filled and challenging at the same time.''
Bhavya recalls how Aneri Vajani played a crucial role in boosting his confidence to perform for a vulnerable scene that they both had to shoot. “The way Aneri handled the situation and even supported me as a performer was remarkable. She not only boosted my confidence but also reassured of my own acting skills. Aneri and I shared a great bond since the inception of the shoot and there is a lot of room to learn from her. She is a bright and mood uplifting girl.”
Bhavya has no qualms in doing negative roles until he foresees character satisfaction. He believes that a character is a character and the more powerful, the better it is. Every show has multi-characters but a few shine out. He is hopeful that Vardhan Khurana’s character will do the same as there is a lot to do with his character.
When asked what kind of research went to his character Bhavya was quick to respond, “Well the makers were looking for someone who has a good command on his Punjabi accent, and thankfully they found that in me. During the preparations of the role, I was briefed on Punjabi accent with a certain tonality. The accent was of core importance and since I am a Punjabi, it was a boon for me,” he sums up.
