&TV's upcoming show 'Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai' (Produced by The House of Originals) is soon to hit the small screens with big names roped in the show.
Veteran actress Deepti Naval, who will be seen essaying the role of elder version of Kalyani, is happy being a part of the show and working on television after a long gap. In a conversation with TellyBuzz, Deepti shares more about her association with the show, her connection with music and much more.
Talking about the show, she told us, "The subject of the show made me opt for the show. Even though it's not a big role but I still had to say yes to it because of its subject. It's exploring the interpersonal relationship between two sisters, who have competitiveness between them. There are various emotions from conflict to joy, from pain to ambition; there is passion of music, dedication towards the art and many more things. It's really a wonderful subject."
"I have just started and I am quite happy with that. Everybody here is so down to earth, very approachable and being a senior you get a lot of respect from everyone here. I am very happy being here and am really enjoying working with the youngsters," she added.
As the show is based on the theme of music, we asked Deepti about her love for music. She told us, "I really love music and I keep on searching for some rare songs on Youtube. While I do so, I think that why didn't I learn music earlier, because if I could have learned it, I would have been able to sing (laughs).
Deepti will be seen essaying the role of elder version of Kalyani (Amrita Rao) on the show and as Amrita is making her small screen debut with the show, we asked Deepti about working with her. she told us, "Amrita is a lovely girl. I have seen her on films. She is a very sensitive actress and sensitive to look at. She works with sincerity. She is perfect to play my youth."
We also asked her about her choice of roles to work on television. She shares, "I would love to do something contemporary; something breaking the Saas Bahu mould. I would like to play a role similar to women of today's generation - they are homemakers, working woman and ambitious. They want to complete human beings balancing everything. I would want to play something like that."
We wish her all the best!
