Amit Tandon of Dill Mill Gayye Fame Confesses to Cheating on Wife Ruby

Actor-singer Amit Tandon, well-known for his television career, began his journey on the first season of Indian Idol. Since then, he’s appeared in popular shows, establishing himself in the industry. In a recent interaction, Amit opened up about his personal struggles, revealing that he had cheated on his wife, Ruby Tandon. Their relationship has been a rollercoaster, filled with both challenges and reconciliations.

Amit and Ruby tied the knot in 2007. Reflecting on their early days, Amit shared with Siddharth Kannan that he proposed to Ruby on the set of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, after they initially connected online. Ruby had come to India for her work, and they quickly developed a bond, leading to marriage.

However, by 2017, they faced major issues and even filed for divorce. Despite this, they later reconciled and renewed their vows in 2023. Speaking about his infidelity, Amit admitted, “Yes, I did cheat on her. I have had moments when I let my impulses get the better of me. Kuch waqt tak toh usko kuch pata bhi nahi tha but jab eventually usko pata chala, it destroyed her because ek aurat ke liye, especially a woman who has left her whole family to come be with you, ek crack aajata hai aap ke beech and sometimes it does not get repaired.”

He also mentioned that the absence of family support affected their relationship. "I am a hot-headed Arian, she is a hot-headed Scorpion, so when we would fight, there was nobody who would ask us to calm down," he shared.

Amit revealed they hoped having a child might help bridge their differences, but it didn’t work, leading to their separation in 2017. He added, "But, like I said, there is a higher power up there. We both moved on... by god’s grace, this time, when we got back together, it was completely different."

Amit, emotional during the interaction, credited Ruby’s enduring love and resilience, saying she chose to rebuild their bond despite the challenges.
