From her memorable debut in 'Kaho Na Pyaar Hai' to sharing screen space with Bollywood's A-listers like Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, and more, Ameesha Patel's journey in the Indian film industry has been nothing short of a rollercoaster. In a recent candid conversation, the actress opened up about her career's ebbs and flows, shedding light on the films that held immense promise, those that fell short of expectations, and the underlying factors that influenced their fate.
Notably, she highlighted her expectations from Salman Khan's 'Yeh Hai Jalwa,' Ajay Devgan's 'Zameer,' and Aamir Khan's 'Mangal Pandey.'
Reflecting on 'Yeh Hai Jalwa', Ameesha pointed out that the film's release coincided with a period where audiences were perhaps less inclined to accept negative news about their favorite actors, when Salman was involved in the 'hit and run case'. She attributed the film's relatively lower reception to this dynamic, suggesting that had the scenario been different, 'Yeh Hai Jalwa' might have carved a more successful trajectory.

Turning her attention to 'Mangal Pandey,' starring Aamir Khan in the titular role, Ameesha Patel expressed her belief that the film didn't receive the credit it deserved. She implied that the narrative around the film's performance overshadowed its actual merits.
In contrast to these instances, Ameesha Patel shared her confidence in projects that struck a chord with audiences. She cited examples like 'Bhool Bhulaiyya,' 'Race 2,' and 'Honeymoon Travels,' where her instincts about their success proved accurate. These films, she believed, resonated with viewers on a deeper level, which translated into their favorable reception.
Adding to her array of accomplishments, Ameesha Patel's recent collaboration with Sunny Deol in Anil Sharma's directorial venture, 'Gadar 2,' has taken the box office by storm. The movie, a sequel to the iconic 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha,' has swiftly climbed the charts to become one of Bollywood's top grossers.
