Amaran actress Sai Pallavi reveals how she safeguarded the length of her role in the Sivakarthikeyan movie

Sai Pallavi is one of the few Indian actresses who is known across North and South belt for her tremendous acting prowess. The lady has delivered standout performances in numerous movies. Her latest movie Amaran sees the pairing of Sivakarthikeyan and her. It is coming in theatres on October 31, 2024. It is a big budget movie where Sivakarthikeyan plays the role of a soldier. Generally, the role of an actress in such movies is quite limited. It seems Sai Pallavi signed an agreement with the makers so that her scenes would not be chopped off just to maintain the length. 

She has said in an interview, “Actresses' scenes are often cut in big budget male driven films, citing length constraints. To avoid this, I insisted on a written guarantee that my scenes wouldn't be cut before signing on to Amaran (Tamil), where I have an equally important role as my co-star Siva.” Netizens are having diverse reactions to this step from Sai Pallavi. Many said a movie is determined at the editing table. So, if a role has to be trimmed for the betterment of a movie, it is fine. Others said that it is a good move from the actress so that her hard work does not go to waste. Everyone knows that Sai Pallavi gives a lot of priority to the craft of acting, so this was seen as a good move. 

Amaran is a biographical war film with Sivakarthikeyan in the lead. It also has Bhuvan Arora, Sai Pallavi, Rahul Bose and others. The Marina actor plays Major Mukund Varadarajan. It is based on a book by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. The filmmaker is Rajkumar Periasamy. Kamal Haasan is the producer of Amaran. Sony Films International India is the collaborator. 

The major part of the movie has been shot in Kashmir. Sai Pallavi plays his wife Indhu Rebecca Verghese. Sivakarthikeyan spent a year building his body for this big product. Bhuvan Arora is playing sepoy Vikram Singh.
