All Is Well is story about Mr. Bhalla (Rishi Kapoor) who runs an unsuccessful bakery and its neck deep in debts. And his son Inder (Abhishek Bachchan) who disagrees with his way of life. How the both mend their differences to bring Mr. Bhalla out of all of his debts forms the rest of the story.
Rishi Kapoor indeed plays the role of a stubborn old man really well, and adds to the comic timing of the film. Supriya Pathak plays the role of a woman who is suffering from Alzheimer's. She does a fabulous job and is the most impactful character in the film.
Abhishek Bachchan plays an aspiring singer in the role but
looks rather uncomfortable in the character. May be the film would have worked
for him a little more if his profession was something different. Other than
that Abhishek doesn't show any difference in his style of acting, but puts up
an average show. Asin could have been an avoidable element in the movie. At several
points the romantic angle seems forced and thus dipping the movie to low mood.
Most the dance numbers could have been edited, especially the item number with Sonakshi Sinha. The better part is that the movie runs up to only a little more than two hours so doesn't seem taxing. It is quite an entertaining film which can be watched with your entire family. So this weekend you could opt for both the releases. All that can be said is that All Is, well, Well!
