Alia Bhatt's anticipated thriller Jigra rescheduled for October 11, 2024

Jigra is one of the most eagerly awaited movies of 2024, starring Alia Bhatt in her first collaboration with Vedang Raina. Directed by Vasan Bala, the film has been generating a lot of buzz among fans.

Initially set to release on September 27, the release date of Jigra has been postponed. 

The cast and crew have now announced that the film will hit theaters on October 11. On June 13, the team behind Jigra shared the news of the delay across their social media platforms. They posted a new poster of the film featuring Alia Bhatt standing in a street with a backpack, and the new release date prominently displayed, “In Cinemas 11th October 2024.”

Alia Bhatt took to Instagram to share the update, writing, “11.10.2024 | JIGRA | See you at the movies.”

Producer Karan Johar added, “Courage comes to play when one of your own is at risk. Starring Alia Bhatt & Vedang Raina - #Jigra arrives in cinemas on 11th October, 2024.”

Jigra is reported to be a prison-break action thriller centered around a sibling relationship. The filming wrapped up earlier this year, and the movie is a joint production between Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Alia Bhatt’s Eternal Sunshine Productions.

With the new release date set, fans are eagerly counting down the days to see Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina bring this thrilling story to life on the big screen.
