Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 3 teaser to ride on War 2’s anticipation wave in August release

Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi’s courtroom drama Jolly LLB 3 is reportedly set to drop its first teaser in August 2025 and not in isolation. As per industry sources, the teaser will be attached to the theatrical release of War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, in a bid to reach a wider audience during a high-footfall release window.

The team behind Jolly LLB 3 is said to be finalising the teaser, with plans to unveil it around August 10. Cinema chains across the country are expected to screen it alongside War 2, tapping into the buzz already surrounding the action-thriller. A source familiar with the developments shared, “The idea is to announce the arrival of two Jollys causing chaos in each other’s lives. The teaser will highlight this rivalry and the tone of the comedy.”

This upcoming film marks the return of Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi as clashing lawyers — a dynamic that has previously clicked with audiences. While Jolly LLB 2 featured Arshad in a cameo, the third instalment brings both actors to the centre of the conflict. Their reunion is expected to offer a fresh spin on the courtroom comedy format.

The film, directed by Subhash Kapoor, also stars familiar faces from the franchise. Saurabh Shukla will reprise his role as the judge, while Huma Qureshi and Amrita Rao are also part of the principal cast. Theatrical release is scheduled for 19 September 2025, making it Akshay Kumar’s fourth and final film of the year.

Marketing for Jolly LLB 3 is being designed as a wide campaign, according to insiders. “Cross-film promotion has always worked well. With War 2 being a big-ticket release, Jolly LLB 3 aims to benefit from the timing. The teaser, songs, and trailer rollout is being pre-planned. The team is even filming a promotional track in Mumbai with both Akshay and Arshad,” the source added.

While fans wait for the teaser, the pairing of these two Jollys already promises courtroom chaos and plenty of drama.
