Ajay Nagrath on working with Nakuul Mehta, pressures of doing a show like Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 and more

Actor Ajay Nagrath is known for his roles as a child actor and has worked in a bunch of prominent shows. He was also a part of CID later, however, he was away from the screens for a while now and has now returned with Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2. He will be seen playing Ram's best friend Adi. Ajay spoke to India Forums about the excitement around Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, if there is pressure on him, and more.

How excited are you to be a part of the show? Tell us a little about your character.

I am really excited to be a part of the show, it has been three years since my last show, and have been itching to do good work ever since. Being a part of Bade Achche Lagte Hai 2 has made me very excited and also to work with Balaji telefilms and I am thankful to Miss Ekta Kapoor for this opportunity. So I am playing Aditya who is Ram's closest friend and an equal business partner who loves Ram and looks out for his interest and also is his emotional support and a voice of reason for everything that’s happening in his life. It is a pivotal role and I get to try something that I have never done before and I am really excited to see how it turns out.

How has it been shooting with Nakuul and others so far?

Shooting with Nakuul has been great. He is a very good actor who is very sharp and good at his craft, he likes to improvise a lot and is very happy to be around on set. Also, he is an awesome human being with no airs of stardom and in the short time of shooting together, we have developed a good friendship and I hope people will get to see this and enjoy our work.

Do you feel any kind of pressure doing the second season of such a successful show?

I do not feel any pressure about doing the second season of the show but at the same time I realize that we have a very big responsibility in our hands. For an actor, if you take pressure it will reflect on the screen which is not good so you have to be very calm and loose but focused while you’re acting for the best results.

How does working in a show with an ensemble cast change things for any actor?

Working with an ensemble cast is great, one good thing is that I am working with my very dear friend who is more like a brother to me his name is Vineet Kumar Chaudhary and we had done CID together. The rest of the cast are great too, we have just started working with each other and getting to know each other but I am sure we’ll become good friends during the process of the show so all in all it has become a very good environment for me and I am very excited to be a part of the show.
