Ajay Devgn to enter the world of horror-comedies? Superstar planning a project with Su From So director

Ajay Devgn has one big film lined up after another in the coming year. As of now, he is working on Ranger with Jagan Shakti who made the 2019 blockbuster Mission Mangal. Then, he has Drishyam 3 and Golmaal Five lined up. Drishyam 3 will go on floors from October, the same time when the Jeethu Joseph begins filming the movie. The filmmakers had warned makers of the Hindi version to not start the film’s shoot before them. Now, reports have come in Pinkvilla that Ajay Devgn is in discussion with the maker of Su From So, which is the biggest Kannada blockbuster of 2025.

The actor is in talks with JP Tuminadu, who made the Kannada film Su From So, a commercial and critical hit. The banner is KVN Productions. It seems the actor is keen to explore the world of horror-comedies. The script falls right into the genre of what he was looking for.

“Ajay Devgn is always open to hear stories from creators all across, and he has loved the idea presented to him by JP Tuminadu. He has asked the filmmaker to come back with a full script, and the next meeting will take place in a month’s time.”

The idea is to take the movie on floors in the first half of 2026. KVN Productions is also financing Haiwaan that stars Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan. It is the remake of Oppam that came out in 2016. Priyadarshan, who helmed the original is also directing this movie. The second film is this horror comedy with Ajay Devgn. KVN Productions wants to expand its business in the Hindi market, and these are their two initial projects. They are also the producers of the big budget Yash period gangster drama, Toxic. It is lined up for a Eid 2026 release.
