December 15 is celebrated as the International Tea Day. The day mainly seeks to raise awareness on the impact the tea trade has on farmers and workers but is also celebrated by tea lovers worldwide.
India Forums got in touch with Zee TV show actors Aishwarya Khare and Aparna Mishra from ‘Bhagya Lakshmi’ and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ respectively and the duo shared their thoughts on the International Tea Day.
Aishwarya Khare who plays the role of Lakshmi in Zee TV's Bhagya Lakshmi mentioned, "Chai is the most favourite part of my daily routine, it is like my survival thing on the set. Every morning before I leave for the shoot, I need that perfect adrak waali chai to start my day. This habit of having tea every morning is because of my mother. I still remember when I was young, my mother and I used to sit together every morning to have a cup of tea before she used to leave for work, and I used to leave for my college. It used to be one of my favourite parts of the day.”

Aparna Mishra who is playing the role of Sahana in Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya mentioned, “Tea is the best and healthiest beverage that has great demand in the world. It has multiple usages in everyone’s life. I started drinking tea when I shifted to Mumbai and I usually drink tea when I fell sick and I asked my sister to give me tea made with haldi, ginger, cardamon, black pepper and many other healthy ingredients. Tea is an integral part of my daily routine. Whenever I get some time, I enjoy tea with my team and I believe that you do not need any particular time to have some tea, you just have to be in the mood of it.”
Here's wishing the readers of India Forums a very happy International Tea Day.
Keep sipping on some strong cup of adrak wali chai.
