After our show, a similar show 'Dhhai Kilo Prem' went on air - Rytasha Rathore

Badho Bahu on And TV went off-air just the past week, and the concept of the show seemed to have worked well with the viewers. Badho, played by Rytasha Rathore is a character that did in fact become a household name.

With the show now ended, we at India Forums got in touch with her and talked about the show, her confident attitude and the TRPs.

Quizzed about the concept of the show, and if she thinks that the idea of breaking stereotypes has been achieved by the show, she said, "Once our show came on air, there was another show that came on air called Dhhai Kilo Prem and they had a similar concept as well. The first show to ever explore this was Maahi Ve, and I was a kid when the show came, and I was like this is awesome."

She further added, "Also, even after Dhhai Kilo Prem went off-air, she is still getting more work so I am just happy that the industry is accepting actors who are not typical hot thin pretty kind of and that is not realistic. How many people who'd actually look like humans and not supermodels who have got all kind of work done."

We also asked her about her way of life, and the kind of vibes that her social media handles emit, and on this she said, "I spent most of my life working on my confidence and my intellect so nobody can really mess with me and I know that I am smart, and a better human being than other people. It is as simple as that, you work on being smart, you read, you learn about the world and you just learn things, and confidence comes your way. Doing Badho Bahu was a lot of love and appreciation, and that made me feel like you know what, I am awesome. Earlier, I used to believe this, but now other people believe it too."

"We might have got a wider reach and a bigger audience, because And TV is a smaller channel so the GRP is less, in fact it is not even available in many parts from what I have heard, so of course that makes a different and how many people watch your show affects the ratings, it is just a number game I guess," on if the TRPs would have been better had the show aired on some other channel.

Finally, we asked her about the entire drama regarding her quitting and then returning to the show. And, to this, she said, "Actually it wasn't some big drama that I had left the show, it was just that my contract was over and I did not want to renew it. I thought 18 months is long enough and I should move on with something else. Since I am a young actor, I don't want to be stuck to something for 4-5 years and forget to act any other character. The longer you do it, the more fixed you get, the more difficult it is. But then the show was going off-air and they asked me if I'll wrap up the shoot, and I was like of course, if the show started off with me I'd want it to end with me as well."
