Aditya Roy Kapur gets candid on commitment phobia; admits to ghosting his exes on phone

Aditya Roy Kapur and Ananya Panday’s affair reportedly by April 2024 causing a lot of heartbreak to their fans. The handsome actor had been dating her for almost a year. The two kept it pretty much under the wraps before the pics from Europe went viral on social media. Aditya Roy Kapur came as a guest on Kareena Kapoor Khan’s show What Women Want. When asked if he was afraid to commit, Aditya said he does not believe that holds true for him. In the past, he has dated Rhea Chakraborty, Shraddha Kapoor and rumouredly a make up artiste, Marianna Mukuchyan. 

Aditya Roy Kapur said that as a young person, he was in relationships that went on for years. Aditya dated Rhea Chakraborty from 2012 to 2014. Both of them worked as VJs in MTV. While he reported dated Shraddha Kapoor for two years, none of them ever confirmed the relationship. Talking to Kareena Kapoor Khan, he said, “I can’t say I’m commitment phobic because I had long-term relationships when I was younger, like a five-year relationship and a three-year relationship. I should not think I'm commitment-phobic.”

He also said that he is someone who does not feel the desperate need to have a girlfriend just to be in a relationship. Aditya said he does fine even when is single. The Aashiqui 2 actor said one should start dating when the urge to be with the other person is really strong, and you feel it deep within yourself. Aditya Roy Kapur said he won’t just get into it, because he does not like being on his own. The star said he feels emotionally self-sufficient even when he is alone. But he does enjoy being in love, as it brings a balance between being emotionally independent and the joy and togetherness. 

The actor told Kareena Kapoor Khan that he likes a woman with a sense of humour, someone who is opinionated and passionate about her vocation in life. He will be seen next in Anurag Basu’s Metro…In Dino with Sara Ali Khan.
