Actress-supermodel Aditi Shetty says that she has always tried to keep it as real as possible on social media. She adds that while she has some decked-up and posed pictures of herself on her social media, she also has other candid ones.

“I think I really make sure that I try to keep a balance between reality and glam on my Instagram. So some days, you will definitely see me all glammed up with perfect hair and makeup, well dressed, accessorised, fresh and happy. You will also see me with no makeup on or me just waking up and talking to you guys or just in pyjamas being basic. So, I make sure that I put both sides of my appearance. I keep it real and I think I don't set a wrong precedent for people,” she says.

Aditi says that, for her, filters have never been a necessity on social media. “I feel like this has been a journey of self-love for me as when I was younger, I used to be confident and I didn’t think I was pretty enough. I also doubted if I could be an actor because I was so underconfident. In school, I was a tomboy and I had bunny rabbit teeth, I was very skinny. I was body shamed. So, over the years, I think I have really worked on my personality and I think my personality and the inner core is strong enough for me to love my body the way it is. I have accepted it completely. I think all these transitions go through you as you grow older. And I feel that when I use filters, it's not because I'm addicted to them or I can't put a picture without using filters, it's like I'm trying out some new features. Otherwise, I'm completely okay without them as well. I will be absolutely fine to upload a picture with no filters.”

She adds, “As long as you're not addicted to using filters, it is alright because eventually what matters is your personality and the way you are as a person and not your appearance or filters. But if it gives you some kind of confidence to at least put yourself out there then why not? I think that's okay but as you do that you also have to work on self-love and build up confidence. But your body is everything and you need to respect it. And give that much respect so that you accept it and not be insecure about it.”
