Abrar Qazi and Sargun Kaur Luthra have no starry tantrums: Swati Sharma aka Ishaani of ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’

Star Plus show ‘Yeh Hai Chahatien’ recently took a generation leap paving way for a fresher story and cast while the main leads remained the same. One of the actress to join the show is Swati Sharma who’s seen playing the character of Ishaani in the show. Ishaani is Nayan’s (Sargun Kaur Luthra) sister.

India Forums got in touch with Swati and asked her about bagging the project, the actress said, “Well, when I’d given the audition and was waiting for a confirmation since a long time. I got a call from unofficial sources telling me that I’ve bagged the show, however, I didn’t pay any heed to them as I considered it as a prank. It was only after the Creative Director of the show called me to confirm the same when I believed that the makers have finalized me”.

When asked about her parents’ reaction, Swati added, “So, I have a Government job, I worked in the bank. My parents were fine with me doing small assignments with shorter commitment period as I could manage my job as well as my passion- acting. They always wanted me to not leave the job. When I signed the show, I video called my brother, my parents were also on the call. I told them that I’ve bagged a big project. My brother asked if it’s a cameo in TV show or an advertisement opposite big Bollywood actor. I broke the news about bagging Balaji Telefilm’s ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’ for Star Plus. The moment I said this, my brother was shocked and had tears in his eyes. I could feel that he is proud of me. While I expected that my family will ask me to not leave the well-paid job, to my pleasant surprise, they motivated me to take up the show and go with the flow.”

I got a call from unofficial sources telling me that I’ve bagged the show, however, I didn’t pay any heed to them as I considered it as a prank.

We asked Swati about the lead actors of the show and if she’s able to gel along well with the crew, she said, “Honestly, the entire team is very loving and warm. Our Director Ashish sir is the reason why our scenes come out so beautifully. Since I haven’t worked much before, he helps me dialogue by dialogue in the scenes. Sargun is a sweetheart and I feel she is like my real elder sister. I remember my first scene with her wherein I was supposed to help Nayan get ready and put make-up. I was quite nervous and I politely asked her if I can touch her face and hold her to which she made me very comfortable. Most of my scenes are with her and I love doing scenes with Sargun because they have a very genuine and organic flow. Talking about Abrar, he is also quite welcoming. Although we don’t have many scenes, he is quite chill. Both Abrar and Sargun don’t have starry tantrums and attitude.”
