Aap Ki Antara to end; Do Saheliyan to take the 10.30 pm slot on Zee TV
Aap Ki Antara will end on 18th February, thus making way for the new show Do Saheliyan to launch on Zee TV from March 1st..

Aap Ki Antara, the well-knit story about the little girl affected by autism produced by Drishtant Media on Zee TV, which brought about widespread awareness to the whole of the television fraternity as well as the viewers, will be winding up its short yet fulfilling journey on the 18th of February.
The show very recently took a generation leap, which showed the grown up Antara (Anjum Farooki) facing life the way she sees it. However the channel has now decided to launch their new show Do Saheliyan, produced by Chota Ganpati Telecreations at the 10.30 pm slot from March 1st.
According to our source, "The generation leap had brought the story of Aap Ki Antara back on track again, and the new actors playing the roles were also getting appreciated. The ratings too saw a rise after the leap was taken. But the channel has decided to end the show, to make way for newer shows. In fact, the channel had also deviated from the main plot of autism to show more of drama in Aap Ki Antara, which led to the drop in the ratings. Also, the shift from the 8.30 pm slot to the 10.30 pm slot did not make things easy at all, as the show lost most of its loyal viewers. Moreover, the channel did not promote the show at all after the shift in timing".
Telly Buzz had earlier written that Do Saheliyan will be taking the 7 PM slot and the chat show Ghar Ghar Mein will be shifted to the 6.30 PM slot. We had also got a confirmation then on the same from Ashish Golwalkar, Non Fiction Head, Zee TV.
A little birdie now tells us, "Do Saheliyan has a huge set erected in Rajasthan and this is slated to be one of the biggest shows of the channel. So it was only appropriate that the channel gave the show a proper prime time slot rather than an early evening slot".
Confirming the news of Aap Ki Antara ending, Producer Monish Sekhri told us, "Yes, the beautiful journey of Aap Ki Antara comes to an end on February 18th. But the awareness that this concept has created amongst the viewers has been something stupendous. And this in fact motivates me to do more out-of-the-league shows for television, and I will surely come back very soon with yet another nice concept that will give us bigger TRP".
Producer Ratna Sinha on her part said, "Do Saheliyan will launch on 1st March and will take the 10.30 PM slot".
We tried calling Sukesh Motwani, Fiction Head, Zee TV and even sent him a text message, but he remained unavailable.
The channel will be airing something related to Dance India Dance in the interim week after Aap Ki Antara ends.
Do Saheliyan, produced by Ratna Sinha will have Ankita Srivastava, Sulagna Panigrahi, Sakshi Tanwar, Mouni Roy, Jatin Shah, Akshay Anand, Ravi Gosain, Suhasini Mulay etc playing principal characters.
Aap Ki Antara will surely be an example to follow, and we sincerely hope that television gets more of such unique shows that can bring about a difference...

it wasnt the right time to close...Its was the time to promote show...My name is Khan is released today, and u will find Sharukh Khan dong the same role which Antara was doing....Zee cretives gone mad...AKA was the Gold Mine for them, which they didnt realize....Zee i can bet u will die with the Show...If ur creative is not capable enough to judge then u will be looser in long run....Do saheliyan ki gong to be flop...There is a simple reason, any body can tell---from 1st march they are launching the show...And from 12th March IPL is going to start....Yu know what i mean...

Good that the show is ending. Perfect example of how to destroy a great show.
