'M.S. Dhoni...' mints Rs 41 crore in two days in India

Filmmaker Neeraj Pandey's directorial "M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story" collected Rs 41.9 crore in two days in India.

According to a statement, issued on behalf of the makers of the Sushant Singh Rajput-starrer, "M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story" collected Rs 20.6 crore on Saturday taking the two-day collection to Rs 41.9 crore.

The biopic on Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has also been made tax-free in Uttar Pradesh.

Produced by Fox Star Studios and Arun Pandey of Inspired Entertainment, the film also features Kiara Advani, Disha Patani and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles.

"We thank India for this overwhelming love for the biopic on Mahendra Singh Dhoni's life. He is the son of the soil and it's absolutely amazing to see that we have lived up to the expectations of the cricket fans, his fans and the movie going audience," Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox star studios, said in a statement.

Arun, producer and chairman of Inspired Entertainment, has thanked the country for supporting the film.

"We can only say 'Thank You, India'. We have tried to do justice to your love for Mahi," Arun added.

Proud of sushant coming from a tv background slowly climbing up the ladders with sheer hardwrk and talent .u might not be those hot looks n great body like some tv actors n most bollywood actors .but with talent u have reached superb heights. seeing u in the movie qas just just spectular... u deserve such success. I hope u pick up auch subjects and do well ij ur career. Was fed up of just seeing people with no acting talent but just with body n looks they have attained star status in tv but seeing u in pavitra rishtha u proved talents beats the odds .

Saw the film on the very first day...Sushant Singh Rajput was superb...so happy the numbers at the box office are ringing up. He's worked so hard...he deserves all the success coming to him.

Watched the movie today n by far one of the best Bollywood movies fr me this year... Sushant has done a fab fab job...no one cud ever play MSD better than him..being a huge Dhoni n SSR fan ...i loved the movie

Good for Sushant Singh Rajput. He has done an excellent job. It's good to see a talented actor getting some recognition in an industry which is over run by star kids.
