It might be entirely coincidental that given how several things in terms of restrictions have been lifted this week onwards when it comes to the lockdown, and we also suddenly have a barrage of content to watch on streaming platforms. In the reckoning fow a while now, the Karanvir Bohra and Mandana Karimi led show is about a reluctant heir to a billion-dollar casino who’s emotionally trapped by his father’s manipulative mistress Rehana who must find a way to overthrow her and claim his inheritance. It certainly seems one of those shows that can satisfy your guilty pleasure if done well.

Chintu Ka Birthday

When: 5th June

Produced by former comedy group AIB, Chintu Ka Birthday has already received immense love and appreciation from around the globe at several film festivals. The film is set n Iraq about a family who finds themselves trapped by American soldiers.

Never Kiss Your Best Friend - Lockdown Special

When: 14th June

After the pleasantly surprising Never Kiss Your Best Friend starring Nakuul Mehta and Anya Singh, the show is set to be presenting with a lockdown special but with a new male lead. This one will see Tanie faking an online relationship with her first ‘guy best friend turned boyfriend’, only to find herself falling in love with him all over again.

I'll Be Gone In The Dark

When: 29th June

A six-part documentary series based on the book of the same name, I’ll Be Gone In The Dark explores writer Michelle McNamara’s (the late wife of comedian Patton Oswalt) investigation into the violent predator she dubbed “The Golden State Killer”, who terrorized California in the 70s and 80s and is responsible for 50 home-invasion rapes and 12 murders.

El Presidente

Probably one of the most interesting ones to look forward to, El Presidente – a Spanish true-crime drama series that explores the real-life conspiracy underlying the beginning of the 2015 FIFA Gate corruption scandal.

Gulabo Sitabo

When: 12th June

A trailblazing decision to have a big feature film having its digital premiere instead of theaters owing to the pandemic. Gulabo Sitabo is a quirky comedy from Shoojit Sircar and stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Amitabh Bachchan as a tenant and landlord constantly at loggerheads with each other.
