The river Nile is the longest river in the world, really really really long and still.. just a river.
A river will always be a river, never a sea, nor an ocean.
It would be depressing for the river, but a river never knows this so it never cares, not until it reaches the end of it's life and dumps itself in to the sea at the end of it's flow that is come to know, that there's more to the world than just a river.
Bigger and better things and just for that one second, does the river really realise that it's life was small by comparison, a good life, but not very significant at all.
Still a river has many appreciators in it's prime. But when it dries up to just a trickle or swells up in to a flood, the same admirers turn on it with curses. Such is the fickle life of a river.
Quite the tragedy it would be... if it wasn't for the balanced nature lover, teachers and scientists who assure the admires that it's only a phase. The river is still the river you love, but alas these nature warriors have a tough battle at hand but through it all they persevere and the river finds them standing by it, even when the river dwellers have run off to the next grand river, they remain.. because these people, they love the whole of the planet earth, even in a natural disaster, and even when the rains come at the right time, or not, they remain.
