Episode 21: Everyone is allowed one mistake
Mistakes.. We all make them some time or the other. Sometimes they are made unintentionally; sometimes we make them because we are ruled by stronger emotions. Sometimes we make mistakes because we donot have a choice, sometimes we make mistakes because we are afraid of hurting someone and sometimes mistakes just happen as life's way of telling us that we are just human.
I guess Cvs are allowed one mistake too. Though I guess this mistake did cost them many viewers. The lack of activity in the forum after the episode is a proof of that. Well I guess episode 21 was an attempt towards correcting all the previous mistakes. I wouldn't say this was the best episode as we have had many better episodes. But compared to last week- yes this was better..
One of the top points of the episode was that everyone's actions were in sync with their character even though I guess Aliya and Ishaans swayed a tad bit but it was believable ..
Let me analyse each character
Veer : He was shown mellow but it was believable for his character unlike the joker in the last week. Last episode, we saw him in the reserved and yet the short tempered when messed up with kind of attitude. I especially liked the part where Aliya was crying and he sat rigid listening to her and then told her that they deserve a second chance without any recriminations in his tone and yet an unsmiling look that masks a world of hurt
Aliya: Showing her responding to the kiss and then the dawning realisation that she cheated was effective. It becomes very difficult to remain unaffected especially when you realize that the love that you thought wasn't reciprocated for so long is returned. Though I still cannot understand why she is hell bent on ruining four lives but leaving that aside she didn't disappoint. I liked the last part when she confessed everything to Veer and for the first time that hug looked genuine. There was an acceptance the way she clung to him.. But acceptance is not love and looks like acceptance is all Veeya fans will have to be satisfied with..
Ishaan: I liked the way he pulled Veer's phone. Though it wouldn't hit a score in the manners department, he was thinking like a psychiatrist. He is desperate and wants to hang on to anything that will lead Aliya to be his and yet he is concerned for her due to her immense trust in Veer. All I hated was that Ishaan couldn't do a thing when Aliya was slapped and rather than going to Aliya, he stood in the middle, pulled in two ways. And I guess that was the reason Alishaan fan base was divided in the first place. They have shown Ishaan as a guy who takes the easier way out, someone who avoids confrontation because he found it easier to run after Aliya than clearing the air with Malvika. But then again, everyone is allowed one mistake... this might just be his
Malvika: She finally learns to trust, she was genuinely nice to Aliya only to find the trust shattered. But the scenes were totally in sync with her character. Malvika never loved Ishaan. She could never get over the fact that Ishaan got over her. It hit her ego and made her feel insignificant and that is why she reinitiated their relationship. And now when she found out that Ishaan and Aliya love each other, she pushed the blame on Aliya because she just doesn't want to accept that Ishaan never loved her.. because her ego cannot take a beating. Her dialogue "Ishaan is mine" shows how more than love, Victory is important to her. Because love is the business of the heart while Malvika doesn't do hearts.. she does all brain..
All in all it was a good episode.. Not the roller coaster ride that I had hoped given that the show would soon end.. nor an ocean of disappointment like the episodes last week..
Agree disagree.. do let me know
