Hey guys,

I wanted to open this topic since day 1, but I never got the time. So I'm posting it now.

Amidst all the shows on Indian TV right now, ZW seems like a breath of fresh air. Don't you guys think so?? I'm particularly glad that its a biweekly, when shows come 5-6 days a week CVs are mostly concerned with getting their episodes stocked and the TRP business ruins the story line. Also after a very long time I keep waiting for Sat/Sun, the wait tends to keep the excitement on for a viewer.

Coming to the show, its actually a show where leads wear normal clothes, nothing too fancy or extraordinary, also they don't show up in full make up (exclude Malvika from this...😆)...where its actually not a crime to have drinks with your friends and get drunk, where break ups don't affect the professionalism of a person, where your friends become your family (be it AliShaan or her roommates).

Its a very normal show which shows the day to day life of doctors, but ain't this the fact that makes it special.

{Also I'm VM maker so once I get done with my semester I'll be making tons of vids on this one 😆}

Agree with all your points - It is indeed a breath of fresh air. As it is close to realism. No one is completely perfect or completely vamp. Everyone has their imperfections and negatives along with positives.
Be it Aaliya, Ishaan, Malavika or anyone else.

For once I get to see leads who are not super women or super men, ever sacrificial, devis or devatas, and no angry men avataar. Most of them are normal

@Sehar I agree to all your points. Also want to add couple of points. The show leaves with you a smile on your face after every epi.
Second along with the professional lives of the doctors, their personal story is woven, which is something which I have been waiting for long to watch in Indian Television because I am a working woman.
I wanted shows where a working woman has both professional and personal life. Where they have to strike balance. In TV mostly you get bahus whose lives revolve round some high funda parivaar and there is nothing personal about her.
Whereas this one shows a girl's work, her life outside, her relations, her learnings, and her aspirations. Hope more shows comes like this. TV viewing would be a better experience.

Nice to see you here after EVEREST.

I completely agree with you on this show. It is so real & not too complicated. The characters behave, speak & act just like how we do in our every day life. They all have a positivity to them, without being idealistic.

And I have to mention my ship - Ishaan/Aaliya. Gawddd I love them so much. They are so adorable together. I love how they bring out each other's strengths & can speak to each other about everything ^ anything under the sun without any formality. Indian telly lacks couples who actually speak to each other & its nice to see more shows going beyond leads having eyelocks.

I am also going to make VMs after my exams. Hehe. Can't wait!!

P.S This show makes me miss the YRF shows so much! It gives that similar vibe.

I liked it, and i feel like i can relate to the dilemmas they are facing as being a doc, i have to face the similar things...i am glad its well researched and not like other indians shows...where they show treatments which makes you go, what the hell, where did that come from ahhahaha :D I hope they continue to do the same...
Wish they would show something on Euthanasia...its something doctors deal with too :D

Hey Sehar! I completely agree with your post and everyone else viewpoints as mine are pretty similar. I love Zindagi Wins! This show has managed to do what other Indian medical dramas/youth based shows lose in their attempt to play the games of fan-service to their fans and/ or attempts to show romance.

Zindagi Wins manages to successfully present the growing friendship between Aaliya and Ishaan yet still have the medical background and cases in the forefront - which is pretty amazing. Like you said the touch of realism and lack of excessive melodrama enhances the show even more. Earlier, I was undecided and fine with either Aaliya/Ishaan or Malvika/Ishaan being paired romantically but now I'm decisively coasting in the Aaliya/Ishaan ship. Their friendship and scenes are so much fun to watch.

Can I just add how nice it is see two lead characters actually talk about things and be so comfortable with each other than just lost in the deep, deep realms of each other's eyes for half the episode.

Just want to say..i love this show❤️...best show running on telivision!
Saas bahu serials are too boring, how could anybody even tolerate such crap things!! Marne ke baad log zinda kaise ho jate hai...ye concept toh mujhe aaj tak samajh nahi aaya!!There is no reason for not liking it..i think now i am addicted to it😆
