Open ending , new season !

Yeah ZMGA had an open ending. But it happened for a reason. First we need to understand why it happened. Not the channel, it was makers decision to close the show. Channel wanted to shift it to 5:30 pm but they surely gave makers another option that is to wrap up for now with an open end and later make a comeback with a new season. Makers agreed and decided to end the show with an open end so that they could have some solid story in season 2 which is mainly AmriTam's love story.

Now i dont know but i read on twitter by someone that makers want primetime for season 2 as they had already compromised a lot because of channel and now they are not ready for early / late any slot. Right now the channel has no empty primetime slot but maybe one is reserved for the future. As our writer/producer is Zama Habib he is a lot lot capable and influential to make things work so channel must have gave him a word as they cant upset him.

Now as far as the TRPS are concerned for the show then yes it had less trp but 7:00 pm has 2.1 reach which is very low compared to the reach of primetime which is like around 4 to 5. But ZMGA's TSV (Time spent viewing) was 15-16 mins approximately like shows that are getting 1.9-2.0+. So definitely the problem with the show's trp was nothing but DEAD time slot. Considering that and this open ending, yes we have chances to get back ZMGA again.

I believe if there are enough pressure from the fans, it can surely come back. They have a lot to explore.

Hoping for it, though Sitara does not bring second season on really good shows that ended abruptly.

Ending such a good show is called stupidity.

I don't feel like there will be a second season. If they do try to bring it back the story will have to start all over again. Just saw a tweet from the director of the show and his tweet does not hint at a new season, unfortunately. However, I do think Esha Kansara has a great chance of working with this director on his future project. Posting the tweet below:

Actually he was writer/producer of the show.

Really. His tweet is disappointing and really frustating as Pritam's identity / past never came out infront of Sakhujas for which viewers were eagerly waiting for !

- I feel it will depend on his mood because as far as I know,

- Esha was always his first choice for Amrita.

- Yet Hasan wasn't, it was Iqbal who was his first choice but because of payment issues or creative differences, not really sure, Hasan was chosen.

- Fortunately, Hasan brought Pritam to "life" in such a way no one else could do that everyone loved Pritam.
