Many people think this show was inspired by MHRW but I am like nah been there done that, this seems more similar to Tum Saath Ho Jab Apne in which Hasan played a drunk pessimist with a troubled past. Poor Hasan Zaidi may be getting typecast but it's also a character tailormade for him. I am pleasantly surprised that people here have seen and remember TSHJA since it wasn't on a main channel. Still salty they cancelled it early.

I am also worried about the whole not being able to perform the last rites thing. The makers are trying to keep this as realistic as possible especially in regards to the COVID situation but it's the channel we cannot trust. They only care about ratings and if those aren't to their liking then the channel will likely force them to bring the husband back from the dead.

Even I am surprised that I am not the only one... So many people here still remember TSHJA πŸ‘ It was such a great show. Many here are MHRW, NBT, TSHJA viewers... So I guess our taste is almost same and all of us holding same kind of expectations from this show. That's quite interesting 😳 I don't even want to think about Karan retuning

The second episode was a lovely continuation to the first. We got to see Karan and his interactions with his family, the reactions of the neighbours, and then the family's memories of Karan. It was sweet and emotional at the same time because it showed how frontline workers' families have to live and what happens when you lose someone to COVID-19 and don't even get a chance to say goodbye.

I am yet to watch the second episode, thanks for the update Shreya. Seems quite Emotional.

Actually na, the male main lead of this show had done another show named Tum Saath Jo Jab Apne before. The plot is not the same but very similar. There too the main lead, Imran, is the new Kirayadar of the flat that Mariam’s late husband used to own before. Mariam has a daughter, Najma, about 13 years old who likes sports and wants to be a badminton player like her late father but her uncle and aunt are against her playing since she is a girl. Imran then becomes the sports teacher of the school that Najma studies in. The three slowly bond over time and in the end, Mariam and Imran get married and Najma is able to pursue her dreams. In this show too, Imran had a bad past and was a drunkard.

See, the story is not the same, the main plot is very different but there are a lot of similarities.

You just refreshed ALL the memories

Ugh I feel you! 😭 Like you said, the story of TSHJA had only just started and all 3 characters had grown so much within the 100 episodes. I am happy with shows that don't get stretched and end in a timely manner but we needed another 50 - 100 episodes to establish the love story and Najma's athletic trajectory. Due to cancellation they had to conclude everything including the love story in a rush, before it could even begin. 😭 7 years later and I am still not over it lol.

Isn't the writer of TSHJA the same as this show? Would make a lot of sense why we are seeing a resemblance. Maybe he wanted to give it another go due to TSHJA having an undeserved early death.

SAME Writer? 😲 OMG that's great

Which reminds me, Srishti already told you about the story of TSHJA but interestingly enough Najma was played by Ashnoor Kaur and Pallavi Gupta (from NBT2) played her cousin.

I had started watching TSHJA for Ashnoor and Barkha only as Hasan was a new face for me πŸ˜† but maaaaan.... The way Hasan played Imran πŸ‘ due to that today I am watching ZMGA for Hasan 😳

Doctors are too much exposed to the virus and hospital born deadly bacterias. ARDS, septic shocks are indirect reason of those deaths.

I actually didn't watch TSHJA from start to finish. I am a sucker for comedies and crime shows. I like the odd emotional, family drama, but mostly I'll watch a few episodes, disappear, and then return when the show is about to end. TSHJA I did watch, but I think like the first month and the last 2 weeks. Still I kept updated on the story and it definitely has the same feel to it.
