Many people think this show was inspired by MHRW but I am like nah been there done that, this seems more similar to Tum Saath Ho Jab Apne in which Hasan played a drunk pessimist with a troubled past. Poor Hasan Zaidi may be getting typecast but it's also a character tailormade for him. I am pleasantly surprised that people here have seen and remember TSHJA since it wasn't on a main channel. Still salty they cancelled it early.

I am also worried about the whole not being able to perform the last rites thing. The makers are trying to keep this as realistic as possible especially in regards to the COVID situation but it's the channel we cannot trust. They only care about ratings and if those aren't to their liking then the channel will likely force them to bring the husband back from the dead.

I was really upset when Tum Saath Ho Jab Apne ended RIGHT when the actual story started. Like we spent 100 episodes seeing the growth of Najma, Mariam, and Imran and when they were actually going to start living as a family, they just end the show. I was dying to see Mariam and Imran as an actual couple 😭

Koi baat nahin. Atleast it didn’t get stretched and stuck to its main plot.

When I saw the promo, I could see the resemblance to TSHJA immediately. Especially since the FL is pregnant with her first husbands child.

Which show is it that you are talking about? The plot was same in that show also like ZMGA? Please elaborate.

Actually na, the male main lead of this show had done another show named Tum Saath Jo Jab Apne before. The plot is not the same but very similar. There too the main lead, Imran, is the new Kirayadar of the flat that Mariam’s late husband used to own before. Mariam has a daughter, Najma, about 13 years old who likes sports and wants to be a badminton player like her late father but her uncle and aunt are against her playing since she is a girl. Imran then becomes the sports teacher of the school that Najma studies in. The three slowly bond over time and in the end, Mariam and Imran get married and Najma is able to pursue her dreams. In this show too, Imran had a bad past and was a drunkard.

See, the story is not the same, the main plot is very different but there are a lot of similarities.

Exactly! I liked how the show is depicting the harsh reality of the present situation. Other shows seem to have forgotten that there is even a pandemic.

Hey there every one! Myself Tanvi, but I would be pleased if you call me Trista, as my username suggests.😆❤️

I hope we can all have a great bonding as the show progresses!❤️

Ugh I feel you! 😭 Like you said, the story of TSHJA had only just started and all 3 characters had grown so much within the 100 episodes. I am happy with shows that don't get stretched and end in a timely manner but we needed another 50 - 100 episodes to establish the love story and Najma's athletic trajectory. Due to cancellation they had to conclude everything including the love story in a rush, before it could even begin. 😭 7 years later and I am still not over it lol.

Isn't the writer of TSHJA the same as this show? Would make a lot of sense why we are seeing a resemblance. Maybe he wanted to give it another go due to TSHJA having an undeserved early death.

Yes! Even just 20 more episodes would have given a much satisfactory ending than the original one! 😭

Really? The writer is the same? Then, it can be that the writer wanted to give it another go by showing it in a different way. I hope this time it works and we will actually see the whole story.

And, finger crossed, that story is not stretched and stays for 150-180 episodes at the most 👍🏼

btw, what’s your name? My name is Srishti 🤗

I am all in for a logical ending within 150-180 episodes. Good shows do not need to stretch and end within a finite episodes to retain it's charm. NBT is remembered because both the seasons ended within a finite episode giving it a logical ending. ❤️

Agreed! I am happy with finite shows but just a bit more development on the love story and it would have been golden.

Yes I think it's the same writer. TSHJA deserved so much more so I am glad the writer is revisiting some aspects of it. Also explains why Hasan was cast and the likely similarities between his characters, Imran and Pritam.

Nice to meet you Srishti! 🤗 Call me umz.

Hello. Nice to meet you! 🤗 What can I call you as?

Definitely, a show needs to be finite to be remembered as a good show. A logical storyline plus a logical ending is all that I ask from this show 😳.

I have never watched NBT. It’s the serial, Na Bole Tum, right? I might give it a try. It seems like a good show. 👍🏼
