I think her statement 'jao, main tumhe apne pyaar se azaad karti hun' is a promise she made to him & herself
It was sort of a commitment, she won't break that easily now
Karan ka cave confession was too good, he covered everything, accepted his guilt, apologised, shared his feelings, intentions wrt future, expectations from her
Ab jab tak she doesn't remember that tabh tak koi chance hi nahi, and Karan firse woh sab bol nahi payega
