Vikas Sethi talks money

Money. That's what drives everyone in the final analysis, whether in the glamour world of acting or the hard grind of scripting and producing. Cashin' In sits down with TV celebs to know well they handle their financial matters, and tracks their spending patterns.

Vikas Sethi who was recently seen shaking a leg on the reality dance show Zara Nachke Dikha is a calm and composed person. And his nature is also reflected in the way he handles money. He very well knows how to balance his expenses.

Herez a glimpse into the finances of Vikas Sethi .

How important is money for you?

It is an essential part of not just my life but every ones' lives.

Are you an impulsive buyer?

No. I plan my purchases. I may buy clothes or petty things on an impulse but not anything big. I am not an impulsive person.

What are the investments you have made?

Property, mutual funds and insurance policies.

What is your most expensive purchase?

My house. I bought it two years ago at the back road of Lokhandwala.

Do you feel financially secure?

I don't feel financially insecure as such. I feel that you don't need to feel financially insecure if you do justice to your job.

Who handles your expenses?

I handle my expenses with consultation from my wife Amita. She is the boss. I also take suggestions from my brother.

What was your first salary? What you did with it?

It was Rs. 10,000. I earned it by modelling for a brand of shirts. I shopped clothes for myself with that money.

How much money do you carry every day?

I don't carry much money on myself. I prefer to carry credit cards and debit cards. If I carry a lot of money in my wallet, I will have to keep it in my pocket all the time and I feel that a wallet inside the pocket of your pant or shirt looks very tacky.

Any advice for investors?

Consult a C.A before making an investment. Don't get lured by different investment schemes. They might look attractive but they can cost you heavily. Property is the best investment so invest your money in property.

cheers
