Transcript of LIVE CHAT with TV actor, Vikas Sethi at 12 noon on Tuesday, May 3 , 2005 in Mumbai Vikas Sethi TV actor "Oops wasn't a b-grade film and I enjoyed working in it. As for competition between my character "Swayam" with that of "Sujal" - the latter has been around on TV for three years and I have barely started. Give me some time." Rachit > We have seen you in TV serials like Kyon Hota Hai Pyar and now in Kahiin To Hoga . Do you have any exciting Bollywood offers coming your way? Vikas Sethi > Yeah, there are a few Bollywood offers coming my way but I am still waiting for good roles rather than doing b-grade films. Gaurav > Hi Vikas what made you accept to do a film like Oops , which falls more in the b-grade category? Do you regret acting in it? Vikas Sethi > It wasn't a b-grade film. It was a nice concept and that's why I agreed to do the movie. I don't regret acting in it at all. Yuvi > How did you manage to get Swayam's role? I understand you were offered the role after two other actors rejected it? Vikas Sethi > Even I have heard through papers and media that other people were offered this role, but I don't know about it. I got a call from Balaji (production house). I met them and they explained me the character. I liked it instantly and agreed to do the role. Sneha > Does your character in real life resembles that of 'Swayam' ? In which role will you like to appear yourself in real life? Vikas Sethi > No, I am a very reserved person. I would like to do a role like Shah Rukh Khan's in Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge . Mannie > How is your relationship with co-star Rajeev Khandelwal (Sujal)? Is it true that he is feeling insecure because your character has become very strong and popular now? Vikas Sethi > My relationship with Rajeev is as good as it is with my other co-actors. While shooting together, we never discuss what's going on in the media. I really don't know if he is insecure, as I have never tried to find out. Clod > Who is your fav co-star on the sets of Kahiin To Hoga ? Who do you get along with the most? Vikas Sethi > I get along the most with Shabbir Ahluwalia (Rishi). On the sets I like everyone. It's like one big family. Rani > Do you think you can really overshadow established television characters like 'Sujal' and ' Kashish'? Vikas Sethi > Sujal has been around for three years in this serial and I have just come in the last five months. So give me at least some more time and then we will talk about it. Jacko > What in your opinion has made you so popular with the audience? Vikas Sethi > I guess, the powerful role .(my character). Figo > Are you doing any other serials? When is your birthday? Vikas Sethi > I have been offered the serial K-Street Pali Hill . And I will be on it in another ten days – that is on the 12th of May. Two dailies (soaps) are enough; it takes all your time. Manju > What are your hobbies? Any girl friend? Who would be your dream date (besides your girl friend)? Vikas Sethi > My hobbies are watching films. I have a huge collection of Hollywood films and I keep on watching them. Every Sunday I play cricket with my friends. I don't have any girl friend – can't afford to have a girl friend, as I am married to Amita. She is an airhostess. Dream date would be Julia Roberts. Lali > Are you going to try your luck in films again or are you satisfied with being a TV actor? Why? Vikas Sethi > Definitely, I would love to try in films again because that's an ultimate high for an actor in India. Jaggu > This time round (if you try in films again) do you think Bollywood will treat you better? Why? Vikas Sethi > Yes, I think Bollywood will treat me better as I am more recognised now. Sign Off Message > Thank you for logging on and keep watching me. Love, Vikas. |
