I like rupal mam yaar.. She was one of the reasons for me to watch the show..😃 She is fantabulous in Meenakshi's role.. She has perfectly fits herself in this character. She is doing amazing job here. 👍🏼👏
I always liked her as Kokila.. In sath nibhana, she was strong,dominating just like here but very awesome MIL for her gopi wahu...I thght her character wld be same here too..strong but will give up all her disliking later on for mishti.. but Chalo its okk😆

Yes Rupal ma'm is extremely talented, it's not easy to play such a complex role, which not only is very strong and powerful, but equally has vulnerable emotional moments. I mean we felt bad for her when Abir called her 'monster' and those little maa-beta moments have made us feel for her as a mother who years for her son's love. She emotes those deep feelings so well👏🤗
She deserves this separate AT👍🏼 to highlight her exceptional skills

Their relationship is quite amazing. It takes a lot of strength to make the person your husband betrayed you for your friend (sometimes I'm confused who were married first, but so far it looks like it was Meenu and Mehul). She has always been polite to Parul and even apologized for using her to get her way when she sent her to jail. She didn't let anyone treat her like a servant, but she does like to put people in the place she has decided they should be in. I'm specifically thinking about how she allowed Kunal once to be rude to Parul to show her her place - can't remember when but Parul had upset her just before this - it really had the feel of "remember your place". (there may be other instances).
But - her expressions when she knows that Kunal knows she is not the one who gave birth to him was heartbreaking. Any adoptive mom would probably feel this way.
If you have clips, could you add some stills here of BB with Kunal and BB with Parul?

True. I also felt very bad for her when Abir asked her to stay away from his wedding and the way he tore into her when the chandelier fell. Pretty amazing after all she did before. I was at the same time hoping she had changed and saying she couldn't be trusted!

It hasn't been long since you opened this AT and so, I don't really know what this AT will become a place for in the future, if and when the show returns, but I do have a few questions I wish to ask you based on the description you've given and somehow accurately described the posts that have come in the AT.
1. Why start a separate AT for her if all what the people are going to do is be mad at her for causing pain to the leads and other endearing characters? It beats the point of an Appreciation Thread
2. The planning plotting have definitely given us the couples unique story but we already have a place to talk about for the couples so I don't get the need for a place to show how much we "love to hate her".
Shouldn't this thread be about Meenakshi and focussing on her struggles, her problems, her issues with other characters and just basically her? But instead it's about the couples, indirectly.
*I am genuinely sorry for how my post has been framed. I am not trying to put you on the spot or anything like that. I'm just really confused and a bit annoyed.*
There's so much to talk about the character. There is so much backstory but instead, the whole focus is on how she gave us the couples. Can we please put the spotlight on her and see the story around her? Isn't that the whole point of an AT? To consider that character as the central one and assume the story runs around that person so that you can understand and appreciate the depth and characterization?

Firstly, thankyou so much for voicing your concerns and feelings. I really appreciate you asking these questions. I knew there was going to be confusion and complexity in having an AT for a negative role.
Secondly, I'm extremely sorry for wording the description so poorly (it was very late into the night, and I was just trying to put something together for the first post). I will go back and edit those posts accordingly and try to make it more clearer/neutral.
I totally understand where you're coming from and what you're trying to say
Let me try and explain my thoughts,
1. I agree, my wording of that description was very poor. As Shaheer says 'hate is a strong word'. I guess what I was trying to say even though Meenakshi is supposedly the official 'villain' of our show, but we cannot deny that she has particular qualities and various layers to her character that allows us to connect with her even whilst disliking much of her behaviour and or approaches to others. Ultimately she is the main drive for the show's storyline. Without her, there wouldn't be such unique stories for our couples. That's why the fd enjoy teasing and trolling her character so much, she has that powerful, yet special magnetic aura. 👏
1a. Yes we know there is more to Meenu's character than just plot device for the love stories. We've been given hints and little peaks about her own background story before becoming THE Meenakshi Rajvansh, however these are yet to be properly revealed/explored on the show (frankly and unfortunately I don't think the writers themselves would explore those sides of her character properly, since the show is primarily based on the two couples' journey) -- and that is definitely one of the reasons for opening this AT. I would love to hear/read everyone's perspectives and idea on Meenakshi's character based on her various roles in the show - the business woman, the victim of betrayal/infidelity, the resilient mother, the responsible sister/daughter, her progressive ideas vs her traditional roots etc. and many more.👍🏼
2. See, when it comes to discussing her character, it is inevitable that she will be associated with the development of the two couple's stories. I agree and understand we already have appropriate AT for those couples. But those AT are primarily focused on the interpersonal relationships between the couples and sometimes their bonds with other important characters. However, we don't get a chance to discuss in detail the depth and significance of the other bonds many of the fandom, enjoy and appreciate - and ofcourse Meenu is extremely integral for these 4 main characters. She has a distinct relationship with each one of them. So this AT could be that space, where we can highlight those underrated/overlooked relationships - Meenu-Abir, Meenu-Kunal, Meenu-Mishti and Meenu-Kuhu
Honestly, I would be more than happy, infact thrilled to have this AT focus on Meenakshi her emotions, her struggles, her perspectives, her life, her emotions etc. But I believe there is no harm, nothing wrong in sharing any scenes or moments that highlight Meenakshi's 'negative-villain' shade because that is a part of her personality. Just like how we discuss mishbir and kuku scenes in their respective AT, similaraly- Use this AT to discuss any scene of Meenakshi on the show, that give interesting points to discuss, or even simply a great way to observe and emphasise Rupal ma'm's acting versatility.
That's all I guess.
I hope I answered you questions and doubts. I didn't mean to offend or annoy anyone. I would like this AT to be enjoyable for everyone no matter who's fan you are, ultimately we are all fans of YRHPK show before anything else😃😊
