On the topic of costume changes:
I don't know if the writer/directors/designers thought about this a lot but I noticed..
The last few episodes, clearly showed us the characters' emotions through the clothes.
1.Abir's dark red/maroon shirt
haan i know it felt like an eternity seeing Abir wear the same shirt for almost 10 episodes😆 But what it signified was;
In terms of colour psychology; red/maroon signify high intense emotions. Intuitively we all know red signifies, fire, anger and passion. Which is exactly the kind of emotions Abir was facing and emotion for the last week.
First he was determined and strong to reveal the truth to Kunal, then he came to know Mishti already knew and blurted the truth to him. Adding to the fuel of questions he had, he misunderstands her half-conversation with Nannu which escalates his emotions to intense anger, pain and hurt (due to the shock and pain he experienced with Kunal's breakdown the night before). The red/maroon shirt continues for a couple of episodes, as his intense emotions remain, he is constantly pulled in many directions - his care for Nanko, the disbelief with Mishti, and the jealousy/pain of seeing Nishant and Mishti together.
Until today! where we saw a refreshing change of colour to a plain, bright white shirt
2. Simplicity of plain white shirt:
Finally today, we see glimpses of our original Abir1.0 because the shades have come off, revealing the gates to his soul/heart through those crystal clear, expressive eyes❤️
White is a reflective colour; which equates to Abir finally expressing his genuine feelings, Naanu is finally seeing the mirror in his eyes, to the pain in his hear. Abir's emotions a ultimately pure and innocent, which is why those shades and sunglasses have been removed today. White also signifies a fresh beginning, like a new clean page in a book/diary; which equates to Abir's new determination and step to confess his feelings for Mishti again👍🏼This brings back the hope, Abir had lost in regards to mishbir's relationship.
So don't go away audience; the story is coming back on track🤗
"Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost"👏
A small appreciation post for the costume designers👍🏼 xx
