Hi all.
Here's my first OS on this forum. It will be in two three four parts. It is set a little after the current story line.
Hope you enjoy it.
The italicized text is when someone is thinking.

Kunal picked up the little red notebook by his bed.
"Thanks bhai"
He ran his fingers over the cover of it. It was beautiful. Not like the expensive stationary he was used to. This was cheap. Handmade. By some new admit to the NGO, may be. They worked downstairs all day long to make these little things. Things that he would have never noticed through his car windows and glass bungalows. But now, ... now this is home. Now he liked the little things.
His eyebrows wrinkled as he opened and found dates in it.
"Is this a dairy? Do you want me to start writing a dairy, bhai?"
A smile crept up his lips.
"He asked me to talk to someone and I said I don't want to. Sooo... Does he really think keeping a dairy is going to help me?"
A full blown smile was on his face by now.
He liked to be left alone these days, just talking to himself.
"What am I going to write?"
He lost his smile in a moment.
He picked up a pen and started writing -
"Ever since I found out that mom had planted Swetha in my life, only to send her away and hurt me later, and then bring her back again, to cause me even more pain, I just don't know whom to trust anymore. How could I have been so blind to all this? How could I not notice the little things? I was all happening in front of me. How could she do this? MOM? Really? I still cant wrap my head around it."
His nostrils flaring and eyes becoming red, he sniffed. He tried hard to stop it, but, a tear drop fell on the page. He wiped it away quickly and continued -
"I left the house, the business and everything else. I just wanted to get out of there. Bhai helped me by putting me up here. Away from all that.
He says this is temporary and that I'll feel better soon and go back and join the business and take back what's mine. I don't know about that.
Why didn't you tell me bhai? You knew about mom, why didn't you just tell me? Are you also playing your own game in which I am a pawn? No...No I don't mean that. Sorry...but, I just...WHY?
I never made friends easily. I am not like bhai. The only people I used to share with was my family. But now, I don't even have that"
He let out a deep cry and squeezed his eyes shut. He wrote on -
"If it wasn't for Kuhu, I would have never known. She told me when and where to sneak up on bhai and I heard it. I heard it all. Mom spilling out everything she did. I would not have believed it if it wasn't from her own mouth. I felt like I had died inside.
Bhai said he kept it from me because I am his nanko and he didn't know how to break it to me. Kuhu says she told me because I should know what is happening around me. Who knows what she is planning. I know she likes me, or, at least did at some point. But, I just... I can't do this. Not after what happened.
Kuhu seems to have made good friends with everybody here at the NGO. Especially with masi. I was surprised to see kuku here so often. I was also surprised to see masi come along with me. I'd imagined she will stay by mom's side through thick and thin. But, when I was leaving home, she fought with mom like I've never seen her. In fact I don't think anybody had talked to mom like that before."
There was a knock on the door. He looked up, quickly hid the book under his pillow and ran to wash his face. The knocking continued. He tried to look as normal as he could and opened the door.
"Abhir bhaiya ko chot lagi hai"
He went running outside to see there was a crowd near Abhir's room. He pushed through them and made it inside.
"Bhai"
"A bruised forearm and a scratch on his head. Doesn't look like anything big. But still,"
"Kya hua bhai?"
Some one was nursing his wounds.
"Aree, kuch nahi, bas gir gaya tha. Kuch nahi hua mujhe"
Kunal went ahead and sat besides his bhai. He could see that Abhir was getting uncomfortable with everybody gathering around him and staring. So he sent them away. He waited for the last few people to leave and closed the door.
He smiled at Abhir. "Soooo?"
"Sooo.... Kuch nahi. I fell off a bicycle, that's all. People just make a huge deal out of nothing".
"Because you are important to them, bhai".
Abhir was going to reply with something smart, but Kunal cut him off.
"To us. You are important to all of us. We can't afford to loose you"
Again, Abhir was going to reply with something smart, but Kunal hugged him.
"Kunal's different today." He was confused at Kunal's behavior, but also happy at the same time.
"Ouch"
He backed up.
"Ohh... sorry."
They shared a smile. This was the first in a long time.
"Bhai, you should rest now. I'll go tell everybody that you are fine. And I'll come back with dinner."
When he went down he noticed the bicycle that Abhir fell off of and that made him mad. So mad.
"That Mishti! This is her bicycle. What is this doing here? And why was bhai using it? Why can't she just stay away from us?"
