Not just a sin this gender based foeticide is even bigger issue then just some moral or legal wrong tbh.

When gender ratio is imbalanced to a very high degree like in China because of One child policy or our own states like Bihar, Haryana etc, crime against women like human trafficking, selling them for marriage, kidnapping, sexual assaults etc also increase ridiculously high.

Patriarchal society have a very weird phenomenon, they want women for their sons to prolong their legacy but won't have daughters in their homes.

I don't know the ratio of that time but when India implemented this law the situation was very delicate, that's why it is considered a very serious offence here.

Foeticide is sin, but not finding a gender., but ya to avoid Foeticide gender testing is banned. Many countries have it legal mostly because people won't try to do any harm to their baby just because of gender.

Karna kuch nahi tha. She was just being restless. I wonder why wasn't she taken to her therapist. Roohi has always been weird but she was behaving awkwardly weird during her pregnancy.

Exactly.. Firstly her going to a tantrik itself is wrong acc to me. And agar babe ne kaha ki u r going to have a girl?? Then what?? She would have taken extra mental stress na which is obv not good for baby.

You got a valid point. Obviously ruhi was not right when she decides to check baby gender. But the obvious circumstances, her own past can't be ignored. And pregnancy phase make normal women feeling anxiety, stress and very vulnerable. Ruhi has always been a very paranoid person. Pregnancy inn emotions ko aur jyada exaggerate kar deti hai.

And kaveri poddar behavior during entire pregnancy phase can't be ignored .

Hence I am not defending her action but I can understand why she did what she did.

Exactly 💯, I also can't defend such action tbh because somewhere I have seen devastating repercussions of such small choices which People make.

But I would not say that Ruhi is entirely liable for this situation, every single time Kaveri Poddar making statement about waaris, she also made her paranoid to some extent.

Knowing or unknowingly women in that function and Vidya made her feel threatened of her position in family and her baby future.

Her husband also dismissed this serious issue as some trivial thing.

But I dont think Ruhi had any malicious intention to harm her baby even if it turned out to be a girl. Still that scene was disappointing for me tbh.
