For Vidya, Armaan was her best asset to play the victim card in front of Kaveri, Madhav and the poddar family to show how Mahaan she is by accepting and loving her sautela beta. It helped her on maintaining the position of best bahu in the eyes of Kaveri.

This is absolutely right. She only uses Armaan"s card to keep her position as ghar ki achi bahu card . She never ever loved Armaan unconditionally, only Abhira made her realise how she is showing difference btwn her 2 sons and made her take stand for Armaan ,we have heard her taunting Madhav for brining vo aurath ki beti into the house and how mahan she is to.accept that woman's son. She wants everyone to prioritise her just how like neech aurath wants all the attention. She couldt take when Armaan for once chose his happiness over her.
