But the difference between Abhimaan and Gen 3 couple is that Abhimaan they atleast have an year worth of development ( this Shaadi + IR track will atleast be dragged up until Nov)
Counting from March to Nov that's 8 months of good storyline. So as and when they get ruined. Atleast we can re-watch up until Their proposal/ Wedding
Gen 3 couple never had that. No development. Nothing. They spoke atleast three times before they were in love and after that it was endless rounds of tilak with Aru-Akshu-Aru etc. Blame games, Separation, leaps. Etc.
While here Abhimaan have spent substantial amount in every phase - Marriage of convenience, Friends, That Angsty-Sadistic IPL era, Armaan s redemption, lovers, Bf-gf and now as an engaged couple.
Gen 4 doesn't have a great storyline. It's extremely inconsistent and more often extremely sadistic. But here Writers are atleast willing to work on their leads pair. Both as individual character and as a couple.
We atleast have a phase where they are being eachother s support, communicating better. Building a relationship based just as much on mutual trust as it is on love.
We atleast saw our Ml go from minus to 80-90.
Gen 3 couple never have that. So, it's quite unfair to constantly keep comparing Abhimaan to Gen 3 couple or bringing up that storyline. A lot of external and internal factors went in how that storyline ultimately turned out . I am not complaining. I loved Akshu s ending. She loved a great man and went onto became a successful lawyer.
My only beef was them killing two of my favourite character Abhira s papa and bhai so early. When they deserved better ending . Especially Bhai because parents do get killed at start of every gen. But atleast they should have kept her brother as a support
Point is they are yet to repeat any gen storyline for another. So, Gen 4 storyline will be different. Abhimaan might not be endgame. But they won't repeat gen 3
Here Abhimaan have no true separation with leap till now. Deal Marriage, Divorce, Ar-Ru marriage alliance, Redemption, Confession, Abhimaan marriage track. Ar-Ab have always been together, they didn't get married to other partners, even during Armaan's marriage alliance with Ruhi the rituals were done with Abhira only. Even if we take those 2-3 weeks into consideration, Ar realized his love for Abhira while getting married to Ruhi whereas Abhira was already in love with him. It's been 9-10 months to their story here leads are still not separated after first marriage for weeks/months let alone years.
