She wants armaan as a pet both for her family and firm, who could sense any incoming danger and prevent them from it. In return he will get only toffees. He should not even aspire to get anything more than that.

Abhira in his life is changing the status-quo and there lies the whole problem for kaveri to let them get married. This is not something so alien in our society, there are many families where the kind of characters like Armaan, Kaveri, Abhira exist.
