Ruhi has exposed herself to the risks of being punished for her actions because of her rash driving. We have been shown that she was driving like a maniac ignoring her parnanu who was following her asking her to slow down. So just because now she is crying and saying sorry- doesnt mean she didnt commit a mistake. whatever she deserves as punishment for her mistake, she will get that after the court hearing. Abhira is not plotting and scheming by fabricating evidence against her to get her punished for something she didnt do. if Ruhi is somehow proved to not be responsible for the accident, Abhira will have to accept that too. Abhira may be emotional but she is not doing anything immoral or unethical just because she is emotional about the issue. she says she wants to see Ruhi get her due- whatever that may be as adjudicated by the judge. the main thing that going to court establishes is that this stuff goes on Ruhi's record and her driving license will be revoked hopefully so that she stops being a risk to everyone. Whereas without court case, Ruhi would on paper still have a clean record and would still have her license intact. And its not Abhiras job to vouch for Ruhi and help her have a clean record. Its believable that after all that Ruhi has done, Abhira is not interested in playing unnecessarily nice. She has been nice before and been rewarded with heartache and malice from Ruhi and Goenkas.
No one is saying that she shouldn't face the consequences, she is facing the consequences of her reckless driving by compensating the injured person.
Also, no one is denying that she made a mistake, I think everyone agrees she has made a mistake, for which is paying by compensating the injured person.
Again, no one is saying that Abhira is plotting, scheming and fabricating evidence against Ruhi. There is a difference between this and being unreasonable, irrational, inexperienced and appearing as vindictive or petty.
No one is saying that Abhira is doing anything immoral or unethical, but that she is not competently dealing with this case legally as she is influenced by her emotions.
the main thing that going to court establishes is that this stuff goes on Ruhi's record and her driving license will be revoked hopefully so that she stops being a risk to everyone. But this is not what is shown in the episode. It's implied that Abhira wants Ruhi to be imprisoned by pursuing the matter in Court as that's her client's (unreasonable) demand.
Abhira is not interested in playing unnecessarily nice -- well that's not true, as we will see in the coming episode she is crying because of Manish. If that was the case, she shouldn't be affected by what Manish says to her.
It's not so much about Ruhi, but Manish. If you care about someone deeply and call them grandad, you wouldn't want to cause them grief. Abhira VERY WELL knows that dragging this matter to Court and trying to "teach" a lesson to Ruhi will upset Manish. Then you say it's her job, why should she give up the case - well because of her relationship with Manish. Just like she wouldn't go against Arman's dad or mum if they were the defendant, the same applies here.
