If he had an ounce of genuine respect and care for Abhira, he wouldn't have let her mother, the woman who gave her life to save him, get sl*tshamed. Just wait for him to count this ehsaan too. As if he did something great. Like you said, any decent human being would do exactly what he did. But he has done things no man should do the women in his life. So these occasional slip ups don't make him a hero. And makers are really playing a stupid game here. To keep the vamp and pagal Poddar clan relevant, they made their ML into a robot. Now to do damage control for their crappy ML, they are playing with Abhira's character. All this is going to blow up badly on their faces soon.

Some places are not safe for girls. People may think we are taunting. But in real we are getting in what dangerous situation she entered there without thinking through consequences.
