By this time, Yash and Naksh were accompanied by Fufasa and Kaveri downstairs. They were hearing sounds of merriment and laughter. Kaveri looked pleased seeing how Rohit was surrounded by the Poddars and enjoying himself. She knew that this happiness was due to the Singhanias- We will be always indebted to them.
Abhira's cousins had engaged Armaan in small talk. They knew that they were not going to let Armaan anywhere near Abhira. Armaan too had seemed to realize this and resigned his efforts of trying. What was the use when there were atleast 20 cousin brothers to talk to. Agar yeh deal wali shaadi nahin hoti, haq jataakar Abhira ke paas chala jaata. Yeh saale toh jaane bhi nahin deinge. Akhir dekha jaaye to papers par yeh saale hi hain mere. -Armaan chuckled at the paradox, and irony of his situation.
Ruhi tried to attempt to talk to Muskaan Singhania-Goenka, but Muskaan coldly debuffed her.
"Jab boye peir babul ke, toh aam kahan se khaaogi? Tum toh apni mom se bhi zyada giri huyi nikli. Usmein kam se kam apni self-respect aur career toh thi. Tumhara kya hai? Abhira ke husband par dore daalne ke liye, Abhira ko ghar se nikaal diya." Muskaan stated her facts.
"Nahin Mami, maine Abhira ko eise nahin ghar se nikaalna chahti thi…" Ruhi tried to cover up.
"Par nikaalna zaroor chahti thi. Jis tarah tumne apne rishte chune, maine bhi chune. Aur un rishteon main tum nahin ho. Aage se mujhse, Abhir ya Abhira se uljhi, toh main tumhara woh haal karoongi joh tumne sapne mein bhi nahin socha hoga." Muskaan left warning Ruhi.
While Muskaan was taking Ruhi's class, Manisha was talking to Abhira, and appreciating how she managed to move to Delhi all by herself. Abhira and her soon started talking about shopping and the famous eateries in Delhi.
"I've really missed you Abhira. I'm sorry if I was harsh to you. You brightened my day always." Manisha affectionately ruffled Abhira's hair.
"I've missed you too Chachisa. You and I are the only who had humor in that house." Abhira in fun conspiratorial tone told Manisha.
"Abhira, who's this saheli of yours? She's also interning with you?" Kairav winked at Abhira as he joked around Manisha. Manisha was flattered by the compliment while Abhira smiled.
"Saheli nahin, samdhan hai humari!" Muskaan came and playfully gave a punch on Kairav's arm.
"Isliye toh thoda mazaak kar raha tha Madam. Namaste Samdhansa. Maine socha, ladki ka Mama hoon, toh thoda hansi-mazaak toh banata hai uski Chachi saas ke saath. Aapne bura toh nahin maana? Main Kairav, Kairav Singhania-Goenka" Kairav smiled and did his namaste as he asked.
"Arre nahin Samdhi ji. Accha kiya aapne. Hansi mazaak ke bina toh bas boredom hai." Manisha replied sweetly.
Soon, the elders of the Singhanias, came. Ananya, and Gayu stepped forward and him his rakhis. He smiled at them and looked sadly at Naira's portrait.
"Naira, you may not be here with us, however my promise to protect you descends to your children as well. I have a responsibility towards them. Sanjay sa, do you have the papers?" Naksh asked looking at Sanjay, who in turn gave him some documents.
"Kairav, Abhir and Abhira please take these documents. This is my gift to Naira on this rakhi. Please accept on her behalf." Naksh handed the documents to Kairav, Abhir and Abhira.
When it was Kairav's turn, he looked at Akshu's picture, and took a vow.
"Akshu when you left, you stopped me by giving your kasam. However, how could I live in that house knowing you were out by yourself? Today, I promise to take care of Abhir and Abhira as my own children. Inke zondagi ke har mor par main unka saath doonga, unhein guide karoonga. Main Abhir ko ghodi bhi chadhaonga, aur Abhira ka kanyadaan bhi karoonga. Tu dekhna, I promise." Kairav had tears in his eyes as he looked the garlanded photo.
"Aur mera bhi. Aap bhale na hon yahaan, par jab tak main hoon, inhein Maa ki kami bhi nahin mehsoos hogi. Yeh mera vaada hai aapko" Muskaan touched Akshu's photo.
Sanjay and Kaveri were carefully observing how the Singhanias were standing as immovable pillars for Abhir and Abhira. These two are millionaires now. Now if we win against the Goenkas, which seems likely the information is correct, these two will be even more rich. Waah Armaan kya jackpot mili hai tumhein. Ab agar inka divorce nahin toh baat sahi thi. Par uss Manish Goenka ko bhi sabak sikhaane ka achha moka mila hai. Bada aaya tha auraton ki self-respect ki baatein wala. Hypocrite kahin ka. -Thought Sanjay to himself.
After having taken their meals, Kaveri asked for leave. Naksh himself escorted them out.
"Kaveri ji, main nahin chahta ki aapko lage ki maine aapko majboor kiya hai iss case ko fight karne ke liye.aap back out kar sakti hain. I don’t want you to think you're indebted to me. You took Abhira in when she was at her most vulnerable state, and Abhir took care of Rohit. Karma always comes back Kaveri ji. You owe us nothing." Naksh tried to persuade Kaveri.
"Yeh aapka badakpan hai Naksh ji. Aapki mom wakayi mein exceptional hongi. Kaash, unse milna hota." Kaveri smiled back.
"Yeah, she was amazing. Kabhie chai par miliye toh unke khisse sunaonga, jab main unhein prank karta tha." Naksh laughed.
"Aap apni mom ko prank karte thei?" Kaveri was amused.
"Haan haan, humara toh samdhyana wala rishta abhi bhi hai. Thodi hansi mazaak ki bhi baatein honi chahiye. Yeh heavy serious wali hi baatein kyun? Waise mere paas aapke liye ek gift hai." Naksh presented Kaveri with a gift.
"Yeh kya hai Naksh ji?"
"Meri mom ki authored book. You said you would have loved to meet her. So this is the book she wrote, when she was married, talking about her life experiences in various roles in the family. This is very close to my heart." Naksh smiled.
"Why thank you. It's very thoughtful of you." Kaveri said while accepting the gift.
