It's easy to get item numbers: Yami

She may have got an identity from her television serials "Chand Ke Paar Chalo" and " Yeh Pyaar Na Hoga Kam", but Yami Gautam, the lead heroine of the John Abraham production " Vicky Donor", directed by Shoojit Sircar, says, "It's a film that I feel will add weight to my filmy resume."

"It's not the run-of-the-mill, typical glam or masala film - not that I have an issue with the genre - but in my Hindi film I wanted to do something, which will help me stand out and distinguish me from the rest. So, a film that deals with a socially sensitive issue like sperm donation was something that I thought I must do. Also, the fact that Shoojit is directing the film and John Abraham is producing it, were more than enough credible reasons to do this film," she says.

Tell her that an item number is probably the easiest way to get noticed and yami says, "Exactly! It's easiest to get a glam role or an item number these days. But, getting a different role and a hut ke film is tough. I chose the tougher path. I do hope that this choice works for me."
