Wondering who this good looking guy is? Take a second look. He is the one who appears in a daily soap. Yes, that is Amit Jain who's first stint in acting was when he played the role of a casanova on TV. A film followed which bombed at the box office. But nothing could deter this lad from Dilli who's now moved to Mumbai for good. Whether it's his flamboyant ways of attracting women on screen or off it, he does it all with elan. And he also philosophises. "Tough times never last but tough guys do" is what we heard him remarking. Apart from acting, Amit is
currently ecstatic about his newly discovered passion – dancing! Ask him what dance form it is and he replies, "The regular Bollywood ishtyle."
Delhi too becomes a topic of discussion as Amit remembers his good ole' days spent in the city. "I spent my childhood in C h a n d n i C h ow k and ear n e d the title of the naughtiest kid," shares he. After attending a management college, Amit tried a bit of modelling and soon he wanted to become an actor too.
On the career front, Amit is very satisfied with the way it is shaping up. He is enjoying the character he is playing in a daily serial. Yet, he does regret rushing into Bollywood with a not-so-good film. "I have learnt from my mistakes," says he. Hmmm... that's as honest as it gets!
Quiz him on his alleged affair with ex co-star Shama Sikander and Amit quickly dismisses it. "We are very good friends and just that. Only because we have worked together, stay in the same residential complex and attend dance classes together doesn't mean that we are seeing each other. These are only rumours and nothing more. We both just want to concentrate on our respective careers," he signs off.
